I'd say it has to be taken on a case by case basis. Something like Space Battleship Yamato, that's just pure space opera and ain't nothing wrong with that. Superbook, on the other hand? Yeah, that's straight out of the deepest pits of hell.

A holy life is one spent in service to God and your community. A good life is one spent in service to others, most importantly your friends and family. A satanic life is one spent in service to yourself, and only yourself.

If watching anime encourages the "I am the only thing that is important. My pleasure is the most important thing to me," mindset, then it is satanic.
