Is a System Engineer something different than a Network Engineer?

You really do need to hire two different specialists for these very different fields. Thankfully I, as a Systems Engineer, come with a bundled 25% discount with a great Network Engineer by the name Cone_Cuddy.

You're expected to know how to troubleshoot OS and firmware issues as a system engineer. Not the same for network guys, once you've proven it's not a routing/switching issue it's no longer your problem per the job title.
