My entire hypothetical, Minecraft based idea was to buy one on Craigslist for cash, make sure it never connects to the internet, then destroy it when you're done. A bit expensive, but it would be pretty hard to track.

Although it hasn't been well studied, this is not necessarily true anymore. There are ways to invisibly encode that info even in black and white.
