They'd probably never let him come back these days. That might distract people away from stronk wommans Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel, if there were a similarly named male counterpart.

The video is misleading. Dude is just talking about how much of a bitchy manlet Kibblesmith is when it comes to police. No concrete proof the book is dead.
However there is something close: Disney announced more layoffs and Marvel's comic division is part of it. When company workers are shuffling, nothing is getting done until it stops. That's the closest proof the book is dead we're going to get for now.
