In hindsight I think the internet Bloodsports phenomenon turned into utter fail and AIDS because none of the sane(r) actors bothered to do some basic background research on the people they're dealing with, the two most prominent examples being JF and Baked Alaska.
In case of JF, you have the publicly available court documents, that include a very unflattering psych evaluation, that beyond any reasonable doubt establish him as an abusive sociopath and a creepy weirdo. See his thread for more details. Yet not just Andy but the entire IBS community (Tonka, Failure, Sinatra, Ralph etc.) either never bothered to look it up or dismissed it for what ever reason. Maybe because it was mostly brought up by the social justice crowd, the skeptics and drooling inbred morons like Johnny Fox, maybe Andy was in denial about the "lies" about his new boyfriend, who knows?
Andy chose to dismiss the court papers that describe JF as someone who abuses his girlfriends and takes them for a ride only to be abused and taken for a ride himself.
Same with Baked Alaska. Andy was legitimately mad about being backstabbed by a guy who changes his skin more often than his underwear. Tonka was rightfully calling Andy out on his blindness which makes me wonder why Tonka didn't look up Baked's biography earlier when he was establishing himself as an IBS channel.
Though I should mention the fact that they tolerate someone as batshit bonkers as Aydin Paladin among them puts their general judge of character into question.
