Inside 'Delete A', China's plan to 'delete everything America in technology’

For American tech companies in China, the writing is reportedly on the wall or as an exclusive report in Wall Street Journal (WSJ) said, "its also on paper, in Document 79." For those wondering what this Document 79 is, it is a directive issued by the Chinese government that some refer to as “Delete A,” for Delete America.

Document 79 is said to be so sensitive that high-ranking officials and executives were only shown the order and weren’t allowed to make copies. The document reportedly requires state-owned companies in finance, energy and other sectors to replace foreign software in their IT systems by 2027.

Over the years, American tech giants had long thrived in China as they "hot-wired the country’s meteoric industrial rise with computers, operating systems and software." Chinese leaders now want to change that for a "push for self-sufficiency and concerns over the country’s long-term security."

The first targets

The first targets have been the US hardware makers: Dell, IBM, HP and Cisco Systems. All these companies have gradually seen much of their equipment replaced by products from Chinese competitors. And as China focused on replacing its hardware, the China revenues of these companies have steadily declined.

The likes of Microsoft and Oracle too are said to be losing ground in the field. The effort is just one salvo in a yearslong push by Chinese leader

Xi Jinping for self-sufficiency in everything from critical technology such as semiconductors and fighter jets to the production of grain and oilseeds. The broader strategy is to make China less dependent on the West for food, raw materials and energy, and instead focus on domestic supply chains.

The rise of economic nationalism

The report said that some six years ago, most government tenders sought hardware, chips and software from Western brands. "By 2023, many were seeking Chinese tech products instead."

Looking forward, the report quoting analysts said that the preferential demand from China’s state sector could mean Western ones keep slipping further behind in the Chinese market. However, all's not lost as the report said: "There continue to be pockets of opportunity in China for Western companies, especially in more advanced tech where China still lags behind and in sales to multinational companies operating there."

China wants to 'delete America' from its technology with secret 'Document 79' order banning US software at state-run companies by 2027

'China was the land of milk and honey, and intellectual property was the main challenge,' a former US Trade Representative official involved in previous technology discussions with the Chinese told the Journal.

'Now, there is a feeling that the sense of opportunity is off. Companies are merely hanging on.'

Good.

Let those faggots who sold the US out feel the fucking pain for a change when the scorpion finally turns on them.

I hope Microsoft, Intel, and IBM end up applying for bankruptcy.

Better an Asian Planet than a Black Planet (as Rogan's cuck joey diaz would put it). No one but Niggers themselves and the Semites want a Nigger'd Planet, and the semites want it for very specific, malicious reasons. Take it China, just so long as you bring some extra Sickle Cell.

> delete everything American technology

> only steals American technology and never comes up with anything original

Keep this in mind the next time someone starts insincerely screeching about “muh free market” whenever tariffs on Chinese goods and bans on Chinese companies like TikTok and Huawei are threatened.

You’re only allowed to sell into China if they have no alternative, while you’re there they’ll take half your profits and all of your IP and Chinese infrastructure, and as soon they have an alternative, they will kick you out.

On the plus side, if China's going to rely on software written by Chinamen, we don't have to worry about any of their next-gen military technology working.

I'm usually a free market guy, but I understand banning products from hostile countries because they can be used subversively by the government. Wouldn't surprise me if the west has used western companies access to china to do the same.

But also fuck chinks, land of thieves and crooks.

They saw the US attempt to fuck over Russia by kicking them from SWIFT and the rest of the modern economy, and put two and two together. They would be idiots not to do it while there is still time to do it. You simply can't trust these global providers anymore. Every country which has the capabilities and some political autonomy will move in this direction, so expect places like India and Saudi do the same, just on the sly. The EU, nah.

Granted, the chinks' own stuff will probably be crap in the long run due to corruption, a lack of innovation, and their face saving culture. However, our stuff will also be crap in the long run due to DEI hires and declining competence, so it evens out.

A good analogy is a group of savages having a skyscraper built in their country with the help of outsiders, and deciding to replace its entirety in bamboo since they don't trust outsiders.

This has nothing to do with Ukraine. China has been planning to kick out Westerners since the day they opened up to the world.

Makes sense. Me chinese, me play smarter, no cia rootkit in me computer.

I mean, on the face of it, this isn't a terrible idea for anything government or infrastructural. Even if you don't assume malice, having important shit dependent on software you have no control over is a bad idea. If the company goes under and its in a different country, you're boned. If its in your nation, then at least you can flex that government power to ensure another company, or a new company entirely, ends up with the source code and at least keeps it alive long enough for you to migrate off (lol because government orgs definitely do that).

There's also some basic extra cybersecurity protection from having the shit homegrown. Risks too, of course, as you're not getting whatever fixes they got, but you're also less worried about intentionally hidden backdoors, and gain a small measure of security by obscurity.

On the plus side, if China's going to rely on software written by Chinamen, we don't have to worry about any of their next-gen military technology working.
And this is why its gonna be fucking funny. Its not just software, this will directly reach into manufacturing, food service, finances, everything, because even in spaces that are mostly physical, the physical parts are run by control software. Everything from cruise missiles to tap-to-pay subway turnstiles are going to become a shitshow. And the less said about basically ripping out the brains of their industrial machinery, the better.

Remember how it was a good idea to offshore ever factory and business to China? Looks like that decision is now biting the US in the ass. And the best part is, they only have themselves to blame and the average American will laugh at their hubris.

Whenever I think of china making a plan to outwit someone I instinctively conjure a road runner gag.

Wish the bug men success with this one but given they cant figure out how to copy paste the advanced technology of escalators I don't think it's going to amount to anything.
