I just remembered this individual and decided to look and see if she resurfaced. And... she has! She's still doing her whole stealth recordist of household arguments thing:

Listening to the first one ("Doors"), I'm really flabbergasted. It seems like in the past 5 years absolutely nothing has changed. Both she and that comical brother of hers are still living in their parents' home, Nicole is still an unemployed hypochondriac screaming at her parents.

From Tumblr, there's a picture of the door in question (and her jury-rigged curtains) that started this whole argument:



The "Police" clip starts at around the 9 minute mark. Apparently this is a direct continuation of the door argument, she called the cops on her parents over it and the cops are having none of it
Nicole: "My mom's a hoarder."
Cop: "Basically what I'm saying is we got a lot of shit going on, so don't call us for stupid stuff like this"

"Curtain" is mostly nothing, seems to be her attempt to record her parents' conversation in another room but I can't make anything out.
"Curtain 2" explains this whole Rube Goldberg setup - apparently there's an air filter running in her room to filter out the supposed mold in the air, and the curtain is supposed to be a seal to keep all the purified air in while letting her "service dog" run in and out.
Around the 11-minute mark: she apparently "blackmailed" her parents at some point by saying she'd become a stripper if they didn't pay her rent.

"Cop Edit" is another visit to the house by a very patient state functionary. Apparently she is in the habit of calling the Department of Human Services and APS as well.
2 mold specialists have been to the house and found nothing, but she claims mold is everywhere and it killed her previous dog. If you read through her Tumblr, she was apparently considering a highly invasive "lung lavage" procedure on her current dog to prove mold exposure. I hope she never went through with it.
We get some brother lore too - apparently he was hospitalized (for mental issues?) and given some sort of drug that ended up giving him heart damage.

Some more gleanings from Tumblr:
- Her parents "told the cops I can’t work a goddamn laundry machine and got me raped because they told more cops that I lied about them evicting me". This sounds like quite a story, I hope I can dig up what it's about.
- The father is now supposedly a falling-down-drunk violent cripple
- The brother is apparently back in some sort of schooling (he has "homework")
- The mother does all her laundry, but she doesn't do it riiiiiight, which is sexual abuse
- Nicole has some new theory that her supposed medical problems all stem from parental abuse and neglect in her infancy, and now she's on a quest to find proof in old medical records. It does seem like she was dealt some sort of genuinely bad hand early on (see picture above), but there's more than a little lunacy mixed in here.

Well, they tried hiving her off to an apartment at one point but it seems to have been a spectacular failure and now she's back.

I almost feel bad for her parents, but it's their own fault for enabling this lunacy for as long as they have. It's honestly shocking to me that they haven't kicked her out on her silly ass.

Some parents are just like that. They feel responsible for their kids and will put up with a lot from them just because they want to make sure they're at least well taken care of. Problem with that kind of thinking is you never get any kind of peace because the mentally ill can't be reasoned with.

What they need to do is get her committed, get her on medication and try to get to the root of her delusions. Problem is, this being the land of the free and home of the brave, you can't commit somebody without going before a judge and swearing that this is the case. And even then they can only hold them for 72 hours. And if, in those 72 hours, they don't see anything "crazy" or the patient wants to leave they can't hold them. The only times they can is if they can be shown to be a danger to themselves or a danger to others. And that's a pain in the ass to have to prove.

All indications are that they at least gave it the old college try... so to speak. At various points she mentions having doctors, therapists, and medications.

Who knows, maybe it's even working - the clips from 2020 are a bit more mellow than the 2015 ones. But even so, there's only so much you can do for someone who doesn't want to get better.
It seems she's legally cut her parents out of her medical records, so they're limited in what they can do at this point - doctors aren't allowed to discuss her treatment with them anymore.

Also: does anyone know offhand how to "reconstitute" Tumblr media links from the old forum system? I found a few inlined posts in this thread that we might be able to salvage.

I've still got them all locally if anyone wants them. Looks like I wasn't the only one wondering lately if she ever resurfaced. Maybe she's gone to ground and started a new life under a new name, maybe she's dead or in a loony bin, but probably she's still holed up in her room trying to create a positive-pressure cleanroom using fans and bedsheets.

I tried to check if there are any voter records (lolcows being punctilious voters as a rule) but it seems Pennsylvania makes it illegal to post the records online.
