So okay. She is now threatening suicide if she doesn't magically get $300k. She is making her parents and her also fucked-up brother's life hell as best she is able. She categorically refuses to do anything around the house or take any action to change or improve her situation (like getting on actual disability or getting a job or trying to move out). I guess trying to extort money from CMU is her "plan," to the degree she has one, but it's not like she's actually suing them or taking steps to sue them.

Obviously we can't see everything behind the scenes here, but given that she's making suicide threats and (besides being horrible to others) is clearly suffering in some private nightmare of subjectively experienced abuse and paranoid persecution, why the fuck haven't her parents done what's necessary to institutionalize her? I'm starting to blame them for enabling this. It's not like ISH is happy with her situation-- she hates it.

This reminds me of someone who has a miserably sick and ailing and dying pet but who refuses to have it put down because they are selfishly sentimentally attached to it being alive. I feel like if you care about something you gotta do what is best for it, and ISH very very clearly needs in-patient mental health treatment.

I agree. Since she's apparently incapable of taking the needed steps herself, her parents should petition for guardianship and put her in the hospital, even if she kicks and screams all the way.

Sadly, she'd probably consider guardianship and hospitalization continuation of her parents' abuse. Political abuse of psychiatry is real, but all too often people who need help fall through the cracks because past abuses make it very difficult to treat people who resist help for their illnesses.

Well anybody subject to political abuse of psychiatry will be subject to it anyways regardless of whether the practices are mainstream so her point is moot
 
It is so, so rare that I would be like "put this person on a pharmaceutical," but srsly, she needs to be on something that she isn't currently. Something to help give her like a baseline of stability from which she can attempt to build.

There is some shit that you can't fix with therapy, and until we unlock the magical combination of chinese herbs and aminos and gut bacteria that will do the job better, a brain pill is still sometimes the best option.

Kick her ass out, she's done school and has a degree. It's time she grows up and gets her life started, all this coddling is just amplifying her already dangerous delusions.

There is no better teacher then reality because it doesn't give two shits wether you live or die.

That's not great from the kiwi perspective. What if her family kicked her out because she abused them while claiming they rejected her? ISH would become homeless, move from Pennsylvania to the west coast, and leech off of other SJWs while mistreating anyone who gives her kindness. We've never seen anyone produce lulz from that situation.

Meh, people like her will continue to blog no matter where they are. It's her stress release. While true we'd lose the whole my family is evil shtick we'd gain a tonne of new content as ISH clashes with the reality of adult life.

I think she'd be far more entertaining on her own, right now all we have is her moans over family issues. Which are funny but boring: like Seinfeld.

Isn't her major in behavioral studies?

She's trying to manipulate her parents using childish tactics (name calling, threats of suicide, overt sarcasm). Her parents are probably very afraid of their grown daughter claiming abuse (it's a rational fear of many parents), or her killing herself and blaming her parents as the cause.

TL;DR: ISH needs help and to get kicked out of the house NOW.

I like how she responds to a video of a woman with Cerebral Palsy, who clearly says 'don't tell me I'm brave for doing normal everyday shit because it's pointing out my flaws...dick.'

Insert Buttplug Here twists it to fit her own agenda, saying that society wanted OP dead.

IBH rallies a lot against the US government on her other shitty blog, saying that they value their people more dead than alive. Saying that the US has the third largest population on the planet, it's a small miracle that they can afford to give benefits to many...except fully capable NEETs that sponge off their parents.

No doubt she thinks her 'real' parents would coddle her constantly and never disagree with her on anything and also buy her a pony because she deserves it for being so awesome and suffering so amazingly. If ISH was more self-aware than a yeast colony which had somehow learned how to type, though, she'd realise her parents are the only people in the world who'd put up with living with a shrieking, self-righteous harpy like her without having to be paid for it. Why else would they be telling themselves they had to put up with her endless entitled bullshit? Certainly it won't be for the sheer pleasure of her company.

Both HIPAA and FERPA have exceptions for emergencies involving the safety of the protected person. Wednesday's "incident" is a textbook case of breaking confidentiality when someone threatens to harm themselves or others. She's no closer to seeing the $300K she so desperately insists she deserves.
 
One of the most amusing parts of this whole sordid saga is how ISH thinks CMU is constantly reading her blog, waiting for the next opportunity to commit villainy.
