Inktober - you will finish it this time, maybe

I've seen very little comments on Twitter trying to cancel Inktober or Parker lately, so far it's been a mostly positive environment. (I seem to have found the one part of Twitter that isn't awful as my feed has been pretty positive and full of talented artists. There may be hope for Twitter yet! )
Anyway, here's my first batch. I've been doing this at the very end of the day which I need to fix, working earlier would give me a lot more time to make them super good.

Okay, I think I'm finally caught up on all the drama for this thing, and all I can say is that this Dunn dude seems to have a serious case of narcissism. The things he claims to have invented have been around for so long it's just absurd to try and lay claim to these concepts. I tried giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, but you can find similar stuff in any How To Ink book or online drawing tutorial, I've seen similar in a book from, like, the 70s my granddad had... It's as if he thinks his is the first How To Draw book to ever exist. I've ended up losing some respect for some of the artists I followed for joining in on the hatemob when this was such a massive nothingburger.

Looks like the book company pussed out to Dunn and are changing the book. Or they nuked this thing entirely so refunds are coming. Meanwhile Dunn continues to sell his basic bitch how-to-draw book without struggle.

16-19! I haven't been too happy with what I've made this year, but there's a few that I really like. It's my own fault for doing both this and the Kiwitober over in Beauty Parlor, and having a lot of other projects. I do this to myself every October!

What's funny is the prompt list I'm using is from someone who is pro-Dunn in this mess, but they've been very respectful and not stupid about it. Also they're probably the only pro-Dunn person I've seen who hasn't brought up that he's black. While I've seen very little Inktober drama on Twitter I've seen a few people go as far as to say that Parker stole the WHOLE IDEA OF INKTOBER from Dunn, so holy fuck.

Weird, looks like you can still get the book through Barnes & Noble, and at the moment it says it’s “Out of Stock” so they might’ve even sold out.

I wonder if the publisher isn’t pulling back on Larker so much that they simply gave up on trying to work with Amazon.
