Inktober Day 12.jpg

Ran a half marathon yesterday and didn't have a lot of energy left in me to make art. A lot of runners find that mile 9 is where they hit the proverbial "wall" and they're starting to crash before their second wind picks them back up for the last few miles. I didn't feel like I hit the wall this time, hence this cheetah's mile marker.

Gentlecunts,

My spouse knows this whale that quit her job a year ago to become a tattoo artist. Here are some of her inktober entries:

I'm considering getting all of those ornate works of art transferred onto my puny mortal hide.

Not actually correct opossum handling procedure ( you hold them by the base of the tail with another hand on their tummy) but this guy was being wiggly and didn't want to be weighed.

This last one was drawn at a nearby park next to some grazing lands. My challenge this day was to go out and draw and animal on-site. She took a huge dump while I was drawing so I guess that's what she thought of my likeness.

I had a Redwall fanfiction that I was working on for a little while and one of my characters was a sailor Opossum named Delphus.

I guess there doesn't seem to be a lot of people doin ginktober here...?

I am dumping a lot....

Wolvie Ink Web.jpg

Wolverine, and one of my favourite ink piece this time round.

Cap-Marvel-06.jpg

Portrait of Captain Marvel, also a lesson in inking boobs.

Rogue-Ink-Web.jpg

Rogue, and this one is based on Joe Madureira's Uncanny X-men cover.

Phoenix Ink Web.jpg

And of course, Phoenix, whose hair was pretty hard to ink....

That spells the end of my X-men themed ink i guess... for now...

*cries tears of ink because his stuff isn't that good*

I remember some type of copyright issues coming up last year(?) and the explanation was that he wasn't actually trying to go after people, it was a "legal misunderstanding" of some type. I saw the plagiarism come up on Twitter and also on DeviantArt so it's gonna be real interesting what Inktober turns out to be this year.
I will still be doing it, it will be year 5 for me. Thinking of repeating what I did in 2018 and following a background and environment themed prompt. I struggle a lot with creating interesting environments in my comics so it will be a good thing to practice.
