Indiana almost had a school shooting - Transgender teen's Valentine's Day surprise thwarted

MOORESVILLE, Ind. — An 18-year-old from Mooresville is facing charges for allegedly planning a mass school shooting at Mooresville High School.

The Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department received information around 7 p.m. Feb. 11 from the FBI about someone who was potentially planning the school shooting on Feb. 14, 2025.

During the department's investigation, officers identified the person of interest as Trinity Shockley, of Mooresville. Court documents say Trinity is transgender, going by the name Jamie.
According to court documents, someone called the FBI's Sandy Hook Promise's Say Something Anonymous Reporting System that their friend is planning a shooting in Indiana on Feb. 14. The tipster said the suspect has access to an AR-15 and ordered a bulletproof vest.
Court documents say Shockley sent the following messages to people on social media platform Discord:
  • "I've been planning this for a YEAR"
  • "Parkland part two," referring to the Florida school shooting carried out by Nikolas Cruz, who killed 14 students and three staff members on Feb. 14, 2018
  • Photo of 10 AR-15 magazines
  • "I'm buying a bulletproof vest."
  • "4 More days" — posted on Feb. 10, 2025
  • "I have THIS staring at me," along with a photo of Dylan Roof, who shot and killed nine people at a South Carolina church in June 2015

  • According to court documents, Shockley spoke with a school counselor on Feb. 11. Shockley allegedly told the counselor that Shockley has written multiple letters to Cruz while he's been in prison. Shockley also allegedly has a heart locket necklace with a photo of Cruz inside.
    On Wednesday, Feb. 12, Mooresville police detectives, along with detectives from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Mooresville School Police, executed search warrants at Shockley's home near North Indiana Street and County Line Road.

  • According to court documents, detectives found multiple photos of Roof, Cruz and Andrew Blaze – who killed three co-workers at a Pennsylvania supermarket in June 2017 – in Shockley's bedroom.
    Court documents say detectives found AR-15 magazines and a box of .40 caliber rounds in Shockley's father's bedroom.

  • The Morgan County Prosecutor's Office filed the following charges against Shockley:
    • One count of conspiracy to commit murder
    • Two counts of intimidation, threat to commit terrorism
    Police said Shockley is currently being held in the Morgan County Jail without bond.

  • Mooresville Schools shared the following statement with 13News:
    "The Mooresville Schools Police Department and Mooresville Schools district administration have been made aware of a situation in which a high school student made threatening statements on an online platform. The student has been placed in custody and will not return to the school. District personnel are thankful for the cooperation of local, state, and federal law enforcement officials, who continue to thoroughly investigate this situation.
    As always, mental health resources are available to all students of Mooresville Schools. Families and students are encouraged to contact their school office with any questions.
    Additional questions regarding the specific situation should be directed to the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department."

At least she has an excuse-she got clobbered by a drunk driver and suffered brain damage. I've come across occasional stories over the years about people suffering TBI and waking up hopelessly batshit insane to the point that they start killing people. Although I do remember one tale about 35 years ago where a party girl got bonked on the head with a pipe by a mugger and became quiet and timid. In that case, she even walked differently. Her folx said that it was like a different person came out the other end of the brain injury. I doubt we will ever truly understand the human brain. We'll anhero as a species first.

Funny, I first assumed Trinity is the troon name, sounds like what some autist obsessed with the Matrix movies would call himself. Also, is this one of the cases again where pooner criminals will be reported as their actual sex while troons (see: zizian tranny murder cult) will always be referred to as women, most often not even "trans"?
