Long is a positive position on margin, short is negative position on margin. Shorting on margin while holding the asset is called a short hedge. When I say buy/sell "on spot" it means I'm trading the asset normally.

Thank god you did not waste money on it, the main trick is that they put a clause that stated that if you buy the petro the only way to get real money out of it is by going to a official approved goverment exchange house and can ONLY be exchanged in Bolivares, is like being payed in cheap toilet paper, it also did not help that to get a wallet you need to dox yourself to death
