They matter to me. Like sometimes I post something and then I go to edit it to change some wording a minute or two later, and someone's already given me a nice rating.

It's like being on your way to a mirror fix yourself because you think you look stupid only for someone to stop you on the way and tell you you look good. Very pleasant.

Monkey brain is social. Monkey brain want validation. Validation mean good social standing in group. Internet point trick monkey brain into thinking it is doing good at social. People who don't care about internet points usually get enough social validation IRL (enough is relative. Some people desire less than others. Some people desire more. So some people get plenty of validation IRL but still desire more)

Easy: Did you actually think about what you were writing? Then it'll be fine. If you're unsure and are genuinely autistic, just click the preview button and read your post a few times over and try to see if anything feels stupid to you now that you're seeing it in the typical post layout. Or just post it anyway because it's fucking stickers who cares lmao
