There seems to be a bizarre overlap between Libertarians/right-wing conservatives who are hypocritical in their beliefs ("Goddamn liberals and welfare, everyone is responsible for his own position in life, except me, I deserve praise and adulation and I would be a Randian superman if it weren't for those goddamn Dems, it's all their fault!") and bronies.

What does he think Ashleigheigh could be "prosecuted" for? Lying about your name isn't illegal. Having phone sex with a dude isn't illegal. It's not like he gave her money or even his precious Pamela Anderson poster.

..... Finally - and on a different note - what is the AJM Studios forum meant to be about?! Conservative politics and US patriotism are prominently featured, but so are kids cartoons - particularly MLP. In the December news thread, someone posts a pony vore gif (which also features Batman), and other users congratulate them on posting such a gif :-S

Ponyfags and politics - truly not the best of mixes... Even though I'm a staunch liberal who usually scoffs at most conservative ideals (save for some of their more sane ones, of course!), I feel kind of bad for any conservatives on that forum now, and not just because they're dealing with the guy on subject, either...

I'm beginning to wonder whether Jonathan is suffering from some kind of memory problem :( Serious.

As has been pointed out, he was on record in 2004 admitting it's his fault he was fired from the college newspaper. As recently as January 2013 he recognised that "Ashleigh" was trolling him, in a post comparing his situation to that of Manti Te'o. Note that this was well before he came here and had this pointed out to him by us.

"Maybe if we talked and shared more, we could avoid any more Lennay Kekuas and Ashleigh Bainkses taking advantage of hormone-addled young men who haven't quite developed a bullflop detector yet."

Getting "taken advantage of" is how "hormone-addled young men" develop a "bullflop detector". I mean, if they let their hormones addle them that much, the sobering humiliation of getting trolled may help to un-addle them.

"The only difference [between us] is that he was a big important football player and I was just a disgraced former newspaperman."

Ah, no. No, you weren't. You were a student working on a student newspaper, not a "newspaperman". I say this as someone who drew a comic strip for his alma matter.

EDIT: "Post by Dr. Belch on Jan 18, 2013 at 8:55am
So is anyone following this story? A Notre Dame University linebacker Manti Te'o apparently engaged in a year-long online relationship with a phantom girl named Lennay Kekua."

Ah ... huh. Ahem ....

LENNAAAAAAAAY!

The way he carries on about this school newspaper you'd think it was a feeder system for the Wall Street Journal or the NY Times. All he did was write the occasional fluff piece for the college and somehow he's turned this into some elaborate News Room-esque journalism hot spot. Think he'll ever warp the Kiwi Farm into something equally hilarious?

It is a possibility. His hatred towards African-Americans was a mixture cultural bias courtesy of being from southern Missouri combined with a few nasty experiences with thugs, and his own goddamn arrogance and self importance. This created such magical things like Jigaboo Junction, Po' Bunny Taxes, and a running theme where his Author Insert character gets mad at minorities and beats a variety of non-white thugs. Enough dickpunching might make him write the forum into his hard as shit to read comics. :alog:

Was his major even journalism?

Nope, it was English, which is also about as good for the field. Actually a wee bit more versatile if you are clever.

Sayre's Law but applied to student organizations and tweaked. The drama is so high because the stakes are so low.

Also I find it funny he thinks he was kicked out of ASU for his fuck up in the student paper. Hardly anyone gets kicked out for screwing up in a student club or organization, you would have to do next level shit like kill a kid while hazing or funnel thousands of dollars in funds.........Harassing and stalking everyone involved in his dismissal from the paper...DING DING DING...That's what sent him packing.

Yeah obviously the thing here is that no one actually gives a shit about the newspaper incident, it was quite obviously his reaction to it that got him booted. I mean that one letter that he posted the text from that basically explained it all, there's getting upset and then there's pulling a Sweet.

Because both groups have the mentality of children.

For those playing "spot the CWC similarity", he goes on to propose that a form of Date Ed be offered in colleges.

I think, like Chris, his memories about things change based on what he wants to believe at the time.

I've been exercising more of my old newspaperman tricks. Sometimes, a subject will decline to answer a question...

The reason I never responded you your dopey "best Pony" question is because you implied I spanked off to Ponies, and I refused to dignigy that stupidity with a response. I have no favorite. I like the voices--Tara Strong, Tabitha St. Germain and young up-and-comer Ashleigh Ball.

...but you can go and look back at other things they've said publicly, and sometimes you'll find the answer there! Maybe one day, you too will be grizzled veterans of this industry we call news.

Okay, seriously, the animators had too much fun with a sweaty Applejack, glistening from her hard labor, seductively biting an apple and dripping juice down her chin. Holy [bleep]. If nothing else, this episode is worth it for that, plus Tabitha St. Germain doing an absolutely, hilariously awful country accent.

I actually liked this one better than the other Rarity-focused episode this season, "Rarity Takes Manehattan". In fact, of all the Rarity-focused episodes this is right up there with "Dog and Pony Show", It's no "Pinkie Pride", but then, what is?

The infamous apple juice moment, by the way.

Apples--getting folks in trouble since the Garden of Eden.

Huh, not posted to this thread in a while because it's been getting steadily weirder and weirder and weirder since @The_Iconoclast last bothered to post. Hngh.

Anyways, good job on totally distancing yourself from bronies, Iconoclast. I mean, I don't care much about MLPFIM either. I watched the brony documentary on Netflix and that's about that. (After that I decided to watch WW2/holocaust documentaries. Only slightly more depressing.) What comes to taking the bullet for literary criticism I'm quite open-minded, if I say so myself - for example, right now I'm reading Twilight, just to get a legit opinion on it. (So far, looks like it's not as terrible as pop culture makes it to be - I'd merely rank it as not particularly good.) But actually watching MLPFIM, even for commentary purposes, is where I'll draw the line.

That's a damn weird board of deviant conservative brony patriots.

Mr Sweet defends his use of racial epithets and stereotypes about Black people with anecdotes about being attacked by Black people in his youth.

But then there's this:

Jonathan M. Sweet said:
Asians have an unfortunate reputation for being perverts, and this can't help matters. For centuries Japan lived in isolation (their ancient trade laws were truly bizarre by today's standards), and though today they are a world power, in some respects they're like that creepy, socially-maladjusted autistic kid living in the world's basement.
