I sometimes feel bad for the things I say about him, then I remember he tried to bed an underaged girl, harassed an entire college campus because he was too lazy to come up with his own idea for a column, then engaged in an 18 year campaign of terror against people who only had the misfortune of doing their damn jobs. Yes, his life is sad, but he dug himself into that hole. I have no sympathy now. Not to mention he abused his family. He's getting what he deserves.
 
I'm not sure why he randomly makes some of his white-looking people, like (in at least one panel) the guitarist from the band, a sickly yellow. Bart Simpson looks healthier than that guy. But in the panel where the lyric is something about "butt-cracking... working stiffs," one of said white-looking people, a big fat guy with plumber's crack and a dagger tattoo down his arm, is dancing with a Black woman. STOP THE PRESSES. Fat and unhygienic as this guy may be, he is half of a moment of interracial harmony in a Sweet comic. If @DrJonesHat will let me borrow his hat, I will hold it over my heart in a gesture of all-American emotion.

Of course, the placement and shape of said dagger tattoo makes it look like the guy's radius and ulna (forearm bones) are separated, making him look like a really unfortunate zombie who is going to starve at this block party because no one has any brains, but we can't have everything.
 
@NobleGreyHorse you may borrow my hat. I'm still waiting for Sweet to blow up at the guy who draws his characters better than him.

Sweet makes a great cow, but the thing is, the guy is so delusional that he believes his cause is justified. As usual, @HSMOF has nailed it with his psychoanalysis, but it also should be tacked on that Sweet stopped debating with us because he truly believes we're insane nutjobs that aren't worth his time. Oh, we definitely succeeded in getting under his skin, but his delusions are so strong, he doesn't take us seriously for a second. Sweet is too confident in himself. Fall 2016 is approaching quickly and Sweet WILL NOT get back into ASU, but you better believe he won't admit defeat. He'll just say "Hey, in 2017, I'll get my golden ticket back into ASU!"

Yes, perfectly stated! There are only two reasons I feel bad for making fun of Sweet.
1. My fellow AJMers didn't approve. The AJMers have been great friends to me and despite how poorly they handled the situation, I do feel bad for going behind their back. I know for their own reasons, the AJMers will not be honest with Sweet, but I also know they're trying to put this incident behind them and move on. I cannot blame them. After letting someone like Sweet into their circle and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I can't blame them for trying to sweep this mistake under the rug.
2. I love seeing the underdog overcome their situation. I'm an underdog myself, but for an underdog to overcome, they need to move out their comfort zone and take risks. Sweet is an narcissistic asshole who believes he has it all figured out. Yeah, fucking right! Sweet, you're a complete joke and that is all on you.

Fun fact: The band that showed up in Sweet's comic is a creation of AJM, the admin of AJM STUDIOS. The band is called Love Harder and it was based off a band that appeared in the cartoon Phineas and Ferb. The comic Sweet is showing is probably 3+ years old so this was before you guys showed up and when AJM was cool with Sweet using his own comic creations in his shitty comic.

I believe Sweet is one of the best cows here, up there with Shaner, but unlike Lenny, Sweet is not as easy to bait. His lack of understanding of technology also makes it hard to drag material out of him. This thread is going to die out eventually since Sweet can't provide enough material for the Farms. I would be happy with this thread dying if Sweet had learned something, but he hasn't. In fact, all we've done is make him angrier by questioning his "glory days" at ASU. He's only ignoring us because it's convenient for his beliefs.

Sweet stands as an example of what shouldn't be done if you're down in the dumps. He will never learn and will continue putting the blame for his problems on others. The fact he hasn't shown any grief over AJM STUDIOS closing down speaks volumes about his shitty character. The AJMers were the only people to welcome his ass with kindness and it doesn't bother him that he lost that forum. If he is bothered by it, it's only because he can't spew his ignorance in peace anymore. Dude just wants to be asspatted, if he isn't, he becomes a psychopathic blowhard. He arrogantly believes that the liberals destroyed his paradise and that it was a necessary sacrifice to attain his heaven at ASU. I was barely posting on AJM at the time this fiasco happened, but even I'm more bothered by the forum closing down than Sweet is. Sweet is truly a sociopathic narcissist who only cares about his demands being fulfilled. A great cow, but a shame he can't be baited. I would love to see the Iconoclast thread reach a 1000+ pages because Sweet deserves the attention. Dude is a freak of nature.

I'm not quite so sure about that. Mainly because he seems most active when someone is nipping on his heels. We got weekly updates and learned some new info when I was giving him shit. And all I did was go "Yo, you're a dumb ass because xyz" for a few months. I'm sure a more subtle instigator could do better and last way longer than I did.

Oh Sweet is very easy to ween, but unless someone is weening him, material can't be dragged outta of him. Personally, I don't believe this Jvonhellsten guy is a ween. I think he's an actual fan, but who knows, he might be a dedicated troll bidding his time.

All I know is that Sweet is delusional enough to not be bothered by us talking shit about him on this thread anymore. He blocked you and thus you can't bait him anymore on DA. Sweet has proven himself quite capable of ignoring reality and as long as we aren't directly bothering him, he won't spaz out. We're just crazies to him, but really, we're the only people who gives two shits about this joker. I wish AJM STUDIOS would make his posts available again just so you guys can see how he hasn't changed for shit in the last 10 years.

I think we managed to plant a tiny seed of doubt in his mind about his view of his college days. That's led him to consider the very, very painful possibility that the belief structure he's used to sustain himself for the past 18 years was based on a delusion. It would also follow then, if the 90s were a lie, then there would be no point in going back, because things were never like what he thought. Accepting that would be very traumatic for him, but what's even worse would be the fact that if we were right about that, we might possibly be right about other things, like that his problems are entirely of his own making. I don't think he could deal with that.
 
Part of what makes Sweetums such a fascinating cow is how frozen in time he is. He has been obsessing over the same shit for 20 years, his tech aptitude is stiuck in the geocities and 56k days, he's still salted over people who have long forgotten about him for the most part.

But yeah, Sweet has even acknowledged that he's remained unchanged for almost 2 decades. However, he insists that he doesn't need to change. It's undoubtedly part of his worldview that change and progress are a "ploy."

As Sweet's contemporary, I too have nostalgia for the 90s, especially the early 90s. I liked Animaniacs, Eek the cat, and all the Fox Kids cartoons too. I used BBSes, and had a UNIX shell account as my first taste of internet access in college. MS-DOS had its own special charm, and DOS games will forever hold a special place in my heart, along with memories of going to Babbages and Software Etc to get computer games. That said, 2016 technology is superior in every way to 1990s tech. I like having my phone on my hip, and the fact that I can watch movies when I want, without getting out of my chair. Sweet is utterly helpless, and I suspect that after his mom is gone, he's not going to last very long unless one of his brothers takes him in.

The difference between you and Sweet - well, there are several differences between you and Sweet, all of which would demonstrate vast intellectual, behavioral, social, and technical superiority on your part - but in the context of this discussion, the difference lay in the fact that you can look at the situation objectively. You remember the stuff you enjoyed growing up, your talents and abilities with them, and can appreciate the charms they had, while also enjoying the benefits of newer, more advanced technology and changing social mores.

Sweet, however, as you said, is totally hopeless. He clings on to old tech and old ideas because they come from a time when people would walk him through learning things. Jon never brings up tech from the 80s, it's always the mid-90s. Well, that's the period where there would've been instructors to show him what to do. Remember that ridiculously complex method of creating PDFs? Sweet didn't learn that himself, he was clearly shown how to do that. What happened, though, was that when he was booted from college, there wasn't anyone around who wanted to speak to him, let alone go through the tedious process of showing him how to do things. Thus, his only method of figuring stuff out - having others explain everything - was nullified. He was stuck, and there was no one around who would get him unstuck.

His reaction? Sour grapes. Change is bad, he'd lament, but only because he can't personally keep up. He can't improvise, either. When his Hotmail 'back door' disappeared, his method of sending things to himself was destroyed. I mean, he just couldn't recover from that. He whines about newer light bulb technology because it doesn't kill mosquitoes the way older bulbs do. This is because Jon is too incompetent/lazy/powerless to fix the mosquito problem himself.

I believe that Jon hates the change that he didn't "sign off on," because it openly demonstrates how little society cares about him in a way that he can't fight against. Like Christian Chandler, the man is determined to live like a leech, but is bitterly upset that he is perpetually thwarted by the fact that the host won't slow down to let him latch on.
