You know, judges and their staffs read people's blogs to see if they try to weasel out of jury duty. It's not bad. I had it, and it was like a very interesting vacation where I got to see how the justice system works.

Yeah, the right usually sends threats involving 8-inch bone knives.she's been getting some "very detailed and specific" death threats (and hey, sister, you can bet your pretty little Irish ass those aren't coming from us here on the right. Those are your progressive-thinking liberal buddies turning viciously on you for telling one too many tales out of school-- as they always will when push comes to shove

And have you heard the latest on this whole Kathy Griffin flap? The thing that offends me the most isn't that did something like that, but that she refuses to own it. She should just say, "Hey, they pay me good money to be edgy. I did my job. Comedians and artists are supposed to push the edges of the envelope and challenge an audience's perceptions, make them look outside their narrow little definition of normal.
Did he just say something reasonable that I agree with?

Very much agreed! I was just about to post, "Says the guy who 1. would easily classify himself as being on the right, and 2. routinely makes elaborately violent threats. Routinely.
Hevenu Shalom Aleichem!Hey, The Stalking Horror even tried to carry out one of his ludicrous death threats. To put it in terms he'll understand, the results of his moronic attack would have looked very familiar to Wile E. Coyote -- beaten to a pulp and sent to jail, where he picked up a case of crotch rot after being furiously rogered by . . .

. . . which he secretly enjoyed.
Hey I just realized Trump has been President for almost exactly 6 months and Obama is gone, and the Republicans control both the House and Senate. I wonder how Sweet is going to explain why he hasn't triumphantly returned to ASU and gotten a "job" as the chief reporter on the college paper now.
Hevenu Shalom Aleichem!
Funny thing is that the states that will be negatively affected the most by Trump's policies are... where Sweets lives.I can't wait to see his reaction when his beloved Republicans carry out their promise to cut the "small government stipend" currently enjoyed by The Stalking Horror and his fellow welfare leeches.
As long as the jigaboos and wet backs are getting fucked over then it'll be juuuuuuuuuust fine.Funny thing is that the states that will be negatively affected the most by Trump's policies are... where Sweets lives.
Mmmm, I could season a soup with the irony...
Shall we break bread over soupe de tomate avec l'ironie de Sweet? It's not my finest dish, but the best I could prepare on such short notice. As long as the jigaboos and wet backs are getting fucked over then it'll be juuuuuuuuuust fine.
Oh the irony... said:By the way, anyone who considers serving on a jury "very interesting vacation" seriously has a boring-ass, unenviable life. If I wanted to see how our American justice system works, I'd turn on some reruns of Matlock. For a vacation, I much prefer Branson.
