Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed thou art among women.

She's been protecting me for the past few months, and I wish that I could honour her.

Mary's a whore who made up a story about being impregnated by a deity to cover for her illicit affairs.

Disgraceful.

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall be soon cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the lord,
and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also
in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

"Men have crowded all her glory into a single phrase: The Mother of God. No one can say anything greater of her, though he had as many tongues as there are leaves on the trees."
Martin Luther, Commentary on the Magnificat

It's not that often I can say it, but Martin Luther was spot on here. Mary was deemed worthy of the greatest honor bestowed upon any creature ever.

Yeah, I'm not actually Catholic. I was just making fun of Sedevacantists when I made that (Q&A) post. But I still do love Mary, truly.

You may not be in communion with Rome, but you can probably confess the Nicene creed, believing in "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church", when by Catholic you mean universal. As far as I'm aware this etymology is about right.

Yes, I confess the Apostolic Creeds. I was referring to Roman Catholicism specifically. I don't personally call myself Catholic because it leads to confusion.

If you confess the two major creeds, Nicene and Apostolic, you should be on fairly solid Trinitarian ground.

Using a common or shorthand term in a technical or less common sense could definitely be confusing, e.g. if a Christian were trying to communicate they held to the true faith and said that they were "Orthodox" they would sound to most as if they weren't in communion with Rome, but the word can mean simply "right believing". I was observing that you probably were Catholic in one or more sense, even if you weren't in communion with Rome.
