Yeah like a Salonpas? They definitely work if you have to be out and about. I use them for my back regularly. Also, take Naproxen.

Ah dude I had that shit once in my mid teens. Couldn't get up off the bed one morning. Couldn't even roll to the side. Just blackout pain and full-body shutdown as soon as I tried it. Pinched a nerve in my neck I guess. I had to shout for my mom and even then she didn't believe me for the first ten minutes.

Bunch of ibuprofen to take the swelling down sorted it out. I think we had to crank my head and back up with the pillows until I could take water. I still got mild versions of it from time to time but that returned me to normal human function enough to get out of the house and such.
