It really is that bad, it's soft oppression and it's fucking hair pulling. They know defending sites like Kiwifarms and 4chan is hard, and defending "offensive speech" is a political poison pill because people here are super fucking moralistic and have kneel jerk reactions because they're politically retarded. Whenever they take down government criticisms or political movements, they justify it through the lense of stopping "hate speech" or "political radicalism". Its especially bad in countries like Germany where you have a political class who hate themselves even more so then the rest of Europe.

One of the things that people who want to block places like this do not understand is that you are not blocking the idea.
If people are not challenged with open NOT JUDGEMENTAL debate their idea of bigotry flourishes.

Don't be bullied by the police if they knock on your door. Don't sign anything, don't agree to anything, don't hand over anything if you don't have to. If they want to prosecute you then that's one thing but if they are just there to intimated you then tell them as nicely (or not so, it's up to you) as you can to fuck off. You might live a borderline nanny/police state but you probably still have certain rights, rights that the police are going to try and trick you into giving up.
