Hytale - Because the world needed another "Minecraft clone with RPG mechanics" game, apparently

There does seem to be an unfortunate problem, The world saves seem to be really large (much bigger than Minecraft's) and the game creates 6 auto backups of your world, which means if the world save is 1GB the backups will make it 7GB per world. And I am halfway to that on one save already.

My only gripe right now with Hytale is the absurd amount of crafting tables you need to manage your base, while Minecraft did it right with just one (more or less).

I did tests with both moving the backups to another folder and deleting them entirely and saves load correctly, I'm honestly thinking the aggro rate of backups is a dev function they haven't eased back on yet since it's still an early release and they're probably noided about breaking save games as they add more things in

Got a server running for a group of friends. This shit runs like ass due to the fact it takes up half a GB of RAM for each additional player joining. I don't have any concrete stats but it also feels extremely CPU intensive when just 3-4 people are running around exploring.

Basically, if you are thinking about running a server don't. Hytale runs like taco bell down asscheeks server side.

I’m getting 30-45 FPS with a 5080, is this shit really running off the iGPU?
I'm playing it on Steam Deck and I've locked 60 fps with the graphics settings maxed but render distance at the minimum value. Try dropping the render distance some?

if you had to have a hate mace would you want it one handed or two handed
Two handed, obviously.

On the debug screen it says it’s using the iGPU. I’m using an Intel Ultra 9 285k, it shouldn’t be running this shitty

Edit: found a fix, now I’m running at 275ish on Epic

I didn't notice the Hytale thread and posted in the Minecraft one instead even though I don't give a shit about Minecraft anymore so I'll just repeat what I posted there here for the most part.

Hytale has a ton of potential. I seen videos about all of the weapons, mobs and items in the game and it clearly shits on Minecraft by leauges and bounds.
Theres 26 armor sets in the game so far (22 unobtainable as of now), compare that to Terraria which has 27 sets in prehardmode. Thats pretty damn impressive for a game that just got brought back from the dead.

Heres the video showing all the mobs and another one showing the weapon types. Hopefully the game does indeed become Terraria 3d one day, Terraria is my favorite videogame.

as a paradox and bethesda fan that sounds like a fucking nightmare, looks like i’ll have to turn off manual autosaves if i get it at some point

APUs. Great for a budget build. Terrible once you get an actual GPU and half your indie games default to the igpu until you disable it in bios. And horrifying when Laptops have both for some unknowable reason beyond our comprehension.

Got a copy from IGG. Because it's cracked and "offline", I'm stuck as a fuckin' jeet.

Typically for battery lifetime.
