Does this mean if they break their legs we can put them to sleep?
 
I honestly have to wonder how this is going to effect their lives in the real world. Our world is not set up for hooves and people who walk on the their hands and knees. The "unicorns" could try to use their "magic" only to see that fail. It would be kind of funny to see them eat dinner like a horse since they can't hold utensils (bonus points if it's done in public with other people).

Socially, it could at best make them look weird and at worst they could become pariahs. No doubt,some of them could also end up in a mental institution thanks to them hypnotizing themselves as a fictional character. As for trying to live in the real world as though they were some horse, they would no doubt fail at doing something like turning a door knob with their mouth. It would be awkward and embarrassing and they would also leave saliva on the knob/handle plus they could also get germs in their mouth from the door knob.
 
Here's an idea.

How about instead of using hypnotism to become ponies, they use it to cure their rampant autism.

When you think about it, some of the ponies' personalities wouldn't really fit in the real world. Sure Pinkie Pie can be fun, but I think a number of real world people would not be able to stand someone with her personality for long. Maybe if the bearer was a teenager, they might let it slide a bit.

That is a good point. But I guess a hypnotist isn't a doctor and wouldn't have their subjects best interest in mind. Fans of the show get worse and worse each day.

The problem with acting like Pinkie pie in real life other then the fact that everyone would want to kill you in a week is how do you break the fourth wall in real life?

I'm going with someone trying to adopt a human child to be raised with his pony waifu and then trying to sue for discrimination when they turn him down.
