Anyway if you are gonna get taken out by it you should at least shoot it a few times to weaken it for others.

We do get hundreds of micro ones a year but they barely make any property damage. Hurricanes and tornados are bloody terrifying, I can't imagine dealing with them yearly being part of every day life.

What is really troubling is there will be literally AN ARMY of Scientologists on standby at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater that the moment the Hurricane is past, they will be handing out Dianetic books in the battered area to help out, But they won't give any actual money for victims. Also a sea of photographers will be out showing the world how Scientology is there to help - it will be quite disgusting indeed and a real spectacle.

Mark my words.
 
I wonder if people will die while evacuating.
I remember that for the hurricane after Katrina a bunch of people in Texas died trying to evacuate, stuck in traffic while it was hawt outside and stuff.

The Hurricane fears the armed Floridian, and this is why central Florida has largely been spared them for the past 50 years

There were also armed robberies of gas cans in the middle of the huge evacuation traffic jam. Cars were running out of gas, and several armed drivers ran up to other cars to steal strapped down gas cans for refueling.

It's funny america took the Brazilian playbook of not helping people and denying volunteers and aid to get distributed because it's a red state.

I feel sorry for the Floridians when it happens again.
I cannot say what I'd do to a checkpoint blocking access to my loved ones without glowing, so I will leave it at that.

There have been 2 Gulf originated cat 5 hurricanes, in close succession. Usually those kinds of hurricanes are devastating, hit Texas, and usually have "A" names if named at all. Because they usually happen in June and are rare enough that some of the most noteworthy of them happened before hurricanes were given names (like the Galveston one).

A mid-late season, Gulf originating cat 5 hurtling due east is weird enough once. But twice (ok, Helene was more NW than turned NE, but still)? They are also strong enough and costly enough that it's like getting hit with a Camille and followed up with an Ian just weeks later. Haven't had a 1-2 punch like this since at least 2005 with Katrina and Rita.
