1 mile wide tornado.... holy shit. These are tornado alley tornadoes.

And even by Tornado Alley standards these would be newsworthy. And there are several of them. I imagine the areas they are wrecking through also didn't do significant storm prep either as Milton wasn't projected to do much where these twisters are.

It takes some serious balls to fly directly into a hurricane. I've got a lot of respect for them. Their reported vertical speed is all over the place. Must be pretty bumpy on the way in.

Here's another question, will the Naples pier fall? It's been taking some pretty big swells right on the chin, but the waves are starting to momentarily overtop it at some points.

We may not get a graphic of this until after the hurricane and threat of tornadoes has passed, and damage has been completely assessed. I think there are still active waterspouts in the Atlantic.
