ARCTURUS - Oslo, Norway

This is Robert Egler, aka Bob Macabre.

3540336340_photo.jpg

He currently has 34 active band projects, with a combined 128 (!) record releases cataloged on Metal Archives.

In every band listed, whether it be Clitpeeler, Cunt Pus Ingurgitator, Gamer Genocide, Kittens in a Kiln, or Short Bus Retard, he is the only member. And each and every band is the same indistinguishable soup of extreme metal.

I'd love to know what goes through his head when he decides that this latest release isn't so much of a Chainsaw Dissection record. It's more of a Postmortem Gore Orgy release, or maybe it's appropriate for Necroxorcist. Or maybe Schizogrinder? I'm sure he's the only one who can tell the difference between them all.

Bob Macabre? More like Bob Getafuckingjob.

Old news, but still amusing and fitting to this thread:
Swedish man gets disability benefits for heavy metal "addiction"

In Sweden, a headbanger has succeeded in having his heavy metalmusic obsession declared an addiction that requires state disability benefits.

Roger Tullgren, 42, a heavily tattooed metal head who works as a dishwasher in southern Sweden, said he consulted three psychologists to receive statements testifying to the extent of his heavy metal music dependency, reports the Local, a Swedish news website.

Ok this man is a fucking hero.

I like how the girl's leather pants completely ruin the pirate theme. If whe wore a pinafore or something else more period-appropriate, it would look semi-convincing, but these pants make her look like a 28-year-old student of business administration. Also, the red filter and the shopped sailing ship create a headache-inducing visual experience.

EDIT.
I guess this is what they call "failing at being awesome":

The most depressing thing about this is that it's almost decent. Some competent musicians could pull this together and make it work in an epic fashion, but all the elements (as is) are too sloppy and the premise just falls apart. Also they need to get a new singer. One who has a better grasp of English and can keep up with the music.

This is why you don't half ass Symphonic Metal. When you do it wrong you do it really fucking wrong.

Epic
Lyrical themes: Warfare, Shakespeare, Romanticism

That sad guy on the right didn't get the memo that they were all supposed to be wearing make up.
