Last night I decided to quit vaping. No real reason, just felt like it. It's been 19 hours since my last hit and aside from the constant cravings, I'm feeling pretty good. So how long until the cold sweats and night terrors start? Also, any general advice for making the process a bit easier (treating withdrawal symptoms, preventing relapses, etc)?

Nicotine lozenges or the patch. The lozenges are best all around IMO and you can get massive bottles of them for dirt cheap nearly anywhere as well as break them into bits if you want to further taper down. DON'T use the gum because the action of chewing it provides a hit and many people end up addicted to the gum, and it's sooo expensive IMO. While the lozenges and patches both give steady amounts of nicotine and you don't really get "high" from them if you have any tolerance in you.

The length of withdrawal really depends on how frequently you used before, how much, for how long, and your general tolerance and personal constitution. I knew a few people who randomly binge-vaped in high school or college for a couple weeks, then basically just stop one day because they get cut off for whatever reason/ran out- and they didn't even recognize it was withdrawal, they thought they just had the flu or something. Other people, especially those who have used nicotine for years and years, seem to struggle more psychologically with the behavior of smoking.

Something to watch out for is replacing vaping/smoking with other BAD habits like EATING, DRINKING, or SPENDING MONEY. These are all big hazards for the more hardcore nic users I've seen quit. They quit smoking and instead they start eating out every day.
If you feel that sort of need to do something with yourself, I recommend flavored water or 0 calorie breath mints. And if you are highly ritualistic (always vaped upon waking up/after work/etc) I highly recommend intentionally doing something else at those times too, like having a cup of coffee or some other thing to refresh yourself.

If you weren't that hardcore of a nic user you probably don't need any cessation products honestly. Basically just drink water and stay mentally strong/don't start replacing vaping with shitty behaviors. If the physical symptoms get too shitty then yeah try the patches or lozenges and follow the instructions/ask a medical person. Last time I bought either, they come with a pretty hefty instruction booklet. They also sell those things in multiple dosages, so make sure you get the correct one based on how much nic you were consuming and how shit you feel.

Good on you man, hope it takes.
I'll try to minimally powerlevel but a family member recently quit cigarettes cold turkey. She had a surgery and couldn't get up to smoke or even obtain the things and so far it has seemed like she has kicked the habit for good. Maybe you could emulate her process? Make it impossible to obtain "vape juice?" and focus on something important or constructive?

throw away all your supplies and tools related to it.
for a cigarette smoker that means all cigarettes, all tobacco, all rolling papers and filters.
for a vaper that means all vape liquid, all vape pens, and whatever other stuff there is to vaping (i dont know much about it)

dont care how expensive any of it was, consider it all lost and just throw it out for good. and force yourself to never buy (or otherwise acquire) any of it ever again.

So I smoked for a good bit, never vaped but the principle is the same.

Swedish Snus.

Stuff is fantastic. Personally I think purely vitamin N gets a bad wrap, and by itself is no more harmful than caffeine is albeit admittedly more addictive. Snus has been studied quite a bit, and has shown to have nearly zero increase health risks vs the average non smoker. It is like a nicotene pouch, lozenge, or patch in that it is a N delivery device but using a method similar to nic salt pouches like Zyn, but is far older of a process. It is spitless, can be had in a variety of flavors, and I love it very much.

Be aware you'll be trading one habit for another, but vs smoking or vaping it is leagues better and has kicked the habit for many people. Just don't be a retard that buzz chases. You can buy Siberia snus that has insane amounts of N, but most people stay with the 8mg per pouch normal portions vs the crazy high nic stuff.

stop cold. the desire to use it will be frequent and intense for the first three days. at around the 72 hour mark you're through the worst of it and the rest is just cruising and not giving in to boredom, seeking an enhancement for something you're doing, or taking a hit off somebody else's vape or a pinch from their can.

then you just stay vigilant for the rest of your life. the nic switch in your brain has already been flipped.

The science is still out on whether snus is less harmful or not. I'd have a hard time believing it's safer than vaping. Snus is delicious and a strong nic fix but at 8mg per pouch you get hooked hard. Especially if you keep a pouch in the majority of the time; I know I liked it so much I did. I wouldn't recommend it in place of vaping.

You can start by stop using ethernet and wifi networks as without a NIC you wont be able to connect. so make sure to finalize any updates to your drivers prior to its removal.
