young adult zoomer. haven't had friends in a couple of years. all I do is rot in my room and go to school. how do I make friends?

I am a social outcast at my school and will often be ostracized at school clubs. I am more so looking for online friends, where would i go to do so?

Are you a (((((gaymer))))? If you go out of your way to interact with people in games where a mic is common I find it easy to make friends that way. Rust is a game I find it really easy to meet people. I hop in a server and ask if anyone wants to team up and it usually goes from there.

But you can do this in a lot of other games too. Just have to have patience and persistence, eventually you'll find some cool people that want to hang out in a completely platonic and heterosexual way no homo.

It's one thing to have people you're acquainted with online. It's another to only know people online. My advice is to focus on certain aspects of your life, such as your hygiene, physique, grades, &c. Use your time wisely while you have it. Making friends isn't the end-all, be-all of life. Make plans for your future. If you happen to make friends in the meantime, then that's good. But don't make it your only goal in life. Doing that will drive you to do things you'll regret.

Internet friends are an amazing thing at keeping you rotting in your room and not interacting with your peers in real life
I don’t know bro, for me those “online friends” just became real friends. I’ve met them all, visit when I get the chance, have gotten jobs via them, and could easily crash on any of their sofas. No different than friends I met in person at this point.

I don’t think you’re wrong, but you can get long lasting, valuable relationships online…it’s just harder.

thanks for suggesting a lookmaxxing routine bro. But I'm not an incel and keep up with those things already. I haven't had a deeper connection with a person since before covid started and it's just hard sometimes. My school is demanding so it doesn't get to me much, but during breaks and the summer, it does.

In my experience, you might have better success in making friends if you attend college or find a job. The former worked for me, anyway. I don't mean to be rude, but how can you be "rotting in your room" while also focusing on the things I mentioned?

I do attend college, but as stated before I am a social outcast because of something I did last year. I will usually only be able to work 1 day a week during school and take up more hours during breaks, but usually, I have to quit from mid-terms to finals because of the heavy workload.

I rot in my room because a lot of American college classes are completely online, I only go in for 1/5 of my classes. I don't want to go into my routines but take care of myself as well as a broke college student can.

How old are you?
What did you do?
I am a junior, I made a chris-chan painting for a class where the professor wanted people to make portraits of controversial celebrities. for context, people in that class made portraits of serial killers, convicted sex offenders like bill Cosby and Kevin spacy ect. but no one paid attention to those.

It got the sjws mad and they tried getting me kicked out under false pretenses (they said I had a gun, I do not own any weapons). Now, any time I make any edgy art I have to get it approved by administration. I also make and sell sonichu related crafts at college events.

People regularly call me a rape apologist when I pass them in the halls, will sometimes harass me in the comment on social media and will move seats if I attempt to sit near them.

That's actually nowhere near as bad as I expected. You've learnt an important lesson about keeping internet and real life separate at least I hope. This might might surprise you, but even though I am RACISM I don't go around calling everyone a nigger in real life.

It got into a magazine and 3 art exhibitions. I have only received negative attention from people at my school because it's full of snowflakes.
