Anyone ever thread this needle? Thoughts, suggestions? The person I know asking me about this has worked at their job for a decade+, a good track record and is a competent worker. I looked into some avenues, but they seem pretty impossible.

When I got fired during the credit crunch and had to go on UI the place that shit canned me (thanks to a shithead boss, but that's a story for another day) didn't care if I said I quit, got fired, etc. so I didn't have a problem getting on UI.

Go to work with a very obvious vibrator in you butt, you'll be fired instantly but it be to awkward and weird for anyone to talk about it.

It's a warehouse and union gig. They're worried the union v. management thing could fuck over the chances of getting fired without cause. The joy of unions, am I right? Lol

It's Canada, they'd be promoted.

Did you see that episode of Better Call Saul where he intentionally got himself fired from a law firm by dressing in loud suits and being a nuisance?
Restrictive dress code (in a warehouse??))

I'll tell em to watch the epi for other pointers lol

I read the rules of his province, and tried to find the most recent union agreement. Seems nuts tbh.

I mean, if there isn't a dress code that prohibits it, a Trump had would probably do the trick. No other changes, just a Trump hat, or even a lapel pin or something like that. I don't know if there is an equivalent firebrand in Canada, but I think that Trump hatred is pretty universal.

Something that outwardly says that this person is a conservative (true or otherwise) seems to bring out the worst in people. If it's not a DC violation, this would be a "you aren't a good fit" instance.
