Just be careful while drinking rum and freebasing that you don't get the rum all over you.

add your cocaine hydrochloride to sodium lye, the sodium cation binds to the chloride anion which leaves your cocaine in free base form.
next add ether and mix thoroughly, then let it sit until the mixture fully separates into layers. the aqueous layer contains sodium chloride and excess sodium lye, discard it. the organic layer contains just your cocaine dissolved in the ether. gently evaporate the ether. you will be left with pure cocaine in crystalline form, perfect for smoking.
don't be a retard though, the lye can burn your skin and make you blind if you get it into your eyes and the ether can burn down your house.
