You could do some undercover intel reconnaissance on CC if you're trying to identify trends that may help you identify them irl,
Im sure there are other places on the internet you could find them and maybe talk to them if you want to understand them better.

If they talk like incels with the genders inverted, they're femcels. I'd say pump and dump, but they expect you to pay for everything and will bitch about it on the internet. If you find yourself on a date with one, make up an excuse and bail.

seconding this general sentiment, although there are some key differences as well. but just as incels hate women and blame them for all of their problems, femcels do the same for men, being some of the most misandrist people i've ever met. other common features include using manipulation tactics such as looksmaxxing & shit from r/fds, being mentally ill and/or autistic, and commonly being fujoshis obsessed with their "husbandos" and wishing men were more like their fictional counterparts.

you're right and this is one of the key differences between incels and femcels that i mentioned. you can't really be a "true" femcel and most of them even know this, but they still choose to label themselves as such since they know that the relationships that they desire aren't attainable for them due to their mental illness and hatred of men.

Well sure.

So you've got some weird chick. She's neurotic, fat/unhealthy, probably living with her parents well into adulthood like so many these days, a bit interpersonally challenged.

Yes, they could just pick up their phone and order some creep from the internet, but that would be fucking terrifying. I don't know which idea would be more frightening, the idea of bringing some guy to their parents' house so he knows where she lives, or going someplace unfamiliar alone with him. And remember, this is already a girl who's twitchy and a bit of a social misfit. Probably doesn't have many or any friends. The whole situation would just be a miserable experience.

Alternatively they have a bit of a narcissistic complex and don't think any guy is good enough for them, although that's usually just a cover up for the fact they're insecure and aren't actually looking for a partner so much as a trophy, except that applies to incels too.

They're less common certainly, they can usually find someone even if that person sucks and their relationship is awful, but it's silly to think femcels don't exist.

Don't make the mistake I did of dating a very outwardly-normal woman only to find out she viewed other people as assets for her own self-gain. The answer is that you really don't know with certain people, as some are better at hiding their distain for human interaction and lust for the opposite sex than others

Men will fuck anything, so generally if a woman is a femcel she's got to be an actual psychotic. Not like BPD cases, even really bad ones, but like, cannot hold a conversation for twenty minutes without breaking shit, has anxiety attacks just going out in public, paranoid, gangstalked, prone to trying to stab people, etc. Incels have severe social problems and other issues but legit femcels will rip your head off. If you meet one IRL, you'll probably know it right away.

Women generally have higher standards for partners than men do, just cause she can get a gross greasy fat horrible guy doesn't mean she would be comfortable of happy with him, is she still a femcel? and even if she can manage to get a chads attention for a night doesn't mean he will commit to her in a long term relationship. If she knows this and chooses not to get with him is she still a femcel?
I think there are lots of incels who also could get someone if they lowered their standards enough, but they don't because there is a point where you could not feel comfortable with dating/sexing someone who is significantly less attractive than you just like you would get jealous ans suspicions if your partner was much more attractive than you.
tldr; i think almost anyone can find someone if they set their sights / improve themselves accordingly the only exception would be people with serious social disorders that make them impossible to communicate with.

I think the idea that incels can get women if they lower their standards is kind of a myth. They don't have high standards because they're under some kind of mistaken impression about how the world works, they have "high standards" because their entire understanding of human interaction is fundamentally flawed. Usually in a deep-seated way that yes, I would classify at best as a personality disorder if not something worse.

This is getting pedantic, but if you continually make a knowing, deliberate choice not to pursue a relationship with someone, that kind of nullifies the "involuntary" part of "involuntary celibate". I'm not going to use the term "volcel" because I think its retarded and just means you are a normal, reasonable human being with actual standards anyway. Incels/femcels are not in that category.

Yea, i agree with you on most of that, im probably to liberal with my definition of ""-cel, to be anyone who wants to be in a relationship but isn't for whatever reason and is bitter about it.
This is probably because, as the ""-cel terms (mainly incel) have gotten into the vocabulary of normies and they have become more diluted as they are thrown around carelessly losing their meaning kinda???. idk?.

I'm not so sure. Sure, maybe some incels look average. But what do they have going for them? They probably live with their parents and have no job. To most Women they are part of the no-go zone. No Women wants a loser.

I think a lot of guys get depressed and just give up and say to themselves "oh well im an incel, i will be alone for the rest of my life" even tho if they put in some thought and effort into life they very much could get what they so desperately want, they're just too quick to jump to conclusions and commit to failure.
I guess i see it as largely a self for filling prophecy.

maybe it is an unavoidable result of the expression of certain character traits, maybe they just cant put in the effort required...

I see it as a an inevitable result. If some people are competent, then logically, some people have to be at the bottom of the heap. Everyone can't be winners. Some people have to lose.
