how often do you need to soap down there?

If you're a dude you shouldn't need to use harsh soap everyday a mild or light bodywash should be fine every other day with a stronger soap or wash to fill in the gaps but you should at least scrub that thing in the shower.

I couldn't tell you what to do if you're a woman though

Sigh.

Shower/bath everyday and use soap all over every time. It's simple. If you're using soap that's causing problems because it's harsh then the solution isn't to use the same soap but with less frequency but to use a normal, mild soap instead of whatever skin stripping abomination you have in the bathroom for some ungodly reason. Except for if you have some sort of condition or temporarily need to deal with something normal mild soaps should be fine and what you use every day.

I like using kirk's castile soap. It's not expensive, is mild, and doesn't take moisture out of your skin. If you're a guy you can probably get away with using it for your shampoo too.

I wouldn't take this seriously but for some reason people keep putting misinfo out there and saying it's not necessary or that all soaps are bad for you if you use them too much.

Every day.

If you want anyone to go near your pussy/dick, wash it.

Every other day!?!?! That often????

Surely water does the trick most of the time?

Well it's hard to know because a lot of soaps are very acidic and dry your skin out and burn.

I have an issue as well where almost all body washes give me an allergic reaction and my skin turns red and burns. I've finally found one that has not done that yet, but still I worry about using it all over and too often.

Kirk's castile soap, I'll see if they sell that here

The vagina cleans itself, but the labia does not. These days, it's not recommended to use soap in the area because it can upset the pH balance of the organ, which is naturally acidic. Most women do, anyway. But maybe every other day.

naturally acidic??? sounds dangerous. How do you know all of this?

If you already in the shower use the fucking soap. I can understand someone being to lazy shower, but the idea that you have motivation to get in but be too lazy to rub a stick on yourself is just fucking baffling.
