I don't think valley would be the correct term. It's more like a ravine dotted with alders and cottonwoods slowly giving way to hemlocks, cedars and firs as you ascend to the top of the ravine. At the bottom of the ravine runs a Creek that begins its life high up in the mountains. It springs forth from somewhere deep within the mountain from an underground spring cascading down the mountain in a series of waterfalls before ending up down in the ravine below. Trout and smaller minnows call the creek home and the shrubs and small trees around the creek are home to several species of song bird including chickadees and sparrows. Occasional deer and bears will travel to the creek in search of water and food.
