Fuck me, I grew up in an era when "Song Of The South" could be WATCHED IN AN ACTUAL MOVIE THEATER ON THE MOTHERFUCKING BIG SCREEN AND PARENTS TOOK THEIR GODDAMN KIDS TO SEE IT. I saw it in a theater in '86 during it's re-release (and IIRC it was a double feature with "Dumbo," another movie you're not allowed to watch anymore), It was an emotional experience and an important stepping stone in actually connecting with American history in a way that matters. Not that anyone gives a fuck anymore.

Goddamn asshole pink-haired Marxist trans-troon tranny wokefag fuckshits ruin everything. Sometimes I get so mad at this current piece of shit stupid fuck woke culture that I want to Minecraft everyone in sight. All you little...
I'd say slightly whimsical but a bit trepidatious.
I'm a little confused as to how they're going to comfortably eat that rabbit if it's all covered in tar, envisioning them beating it to death seems grim, and the idea of eating things that speak the same language as you seems a little strange to me but I guess in the natural world of the Disney universe you kind of get used to it if you want to survive.

That was really cool! I love seeing old cartoons like that! It's always a really eye-opening perspective to see what the attitudes about various things were like back then and there, and it feels like taking an antidote to current-year-psyop to glimpse stuff like that.

For some reason I had it in my head that Brer Rabbit was a Scottish story (having never read or watched it myself) and I was about to think "those kiltniggers are some racist motherfuckers". Turns out it's not actually a kiltnigger story but a niggernigger one and I feel like my worldview just expanded.
