I took piano lessons at the age of 32, at some piano teachers house while high school children and younger were waiting out in the dining room wondering why an "adult" was taking lessons.
Music is one of those things that seem natural. So many instruments of varying purpose, skill and usefulness. Big grandiose display of skill at concert or the guitar faggot around the bonfire. No wonder band kids breed like rabbits; a bunch of shy and socially stunted losers put in a space where they can show skill to people who specifically appreciate musical talent.

Then again, it's a creative outlet that I've seen people deeply desire while I myself just have no such itch, however dearly I wish I had. I've known many autists with no social skills who religiously attended their sports club from age 8 to 24. Bored? No friends? No rizz at school? Go to their club of choice and they've got it all. I guess that's what WoW did for losers decades ago before gaming was reduced to gooning, roblox and e-girls on Discord.

I would encourage anyone genuinely feeling that way to consult Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to see if there’s anything obvious going wrong,
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is kind of like the Body Mass Index. Way too broad and falls apart on any nuance... But if you're totally lost, it can be a great place to start to figure out where something might be going wrong. That said, I think I fail all five categories lmao.
