Turn on the stovetop. Set oven to tree fiddy. Season generously with salt. Boil kettle. A little bit of olive oil. Put cock in kettle. Flip. Put kettle in oven. Light the stove. Snatch chimken. Serve.
 
Is the bird already spatchcocked? That's the most important step. Cut the backbone out with good kitchen shears. Season bird (a little butter under the skin with the seasoning is always nice). Fold out on a hot grill cut side down and weigh down the top with two bricks wrapped in aluminum foil. Grill it. Flip and place the bricks back on it. Grill it more until it's done.
