How do i quote while i edit comments?

So i don´t know how to quote when making edits on comments to be honest,i new fag tbh and yeah i wish for your help guys, because when i click on qoute it just puts the square and doesn´t qoute the person im trying to qoute

Use the "reply" button instead, its right next to the quote button on someone's post. Or if you want to quote a specific piece of their text highlight it with your mouse cursor and click the 'reply' button that appears

If you want to edit a post you already made to put a quote into it you can do the above and then copy and paste the entire quote into the post you want to edit, or at least that's how I do it

The only thing I'd add is if you're having trouble getting the quote from the reply box to the edit box, try "select all" in the reply box before copying, though this works best one quote at a time.
