hating trannies is nowadays part of it (yay) but you should also generally agree with some of the other important points of it like being critical towards, at least on some level, gender roles, the porn and beauty industry, prostitution... as well as maybe being critical to some aspects of religion or being in favor of abortion.

I know you are joking but honestly It's better to not view it as a checklist nor club. TERF writers don't agree among themselves and neither do TERFS themselves, and you shouldn't want to comply to all the ideological points to consider yourself a TERF or TERF aligned. This is good because there is a lot of variety and debate and you can find the right flavor of terfism for you. (though I personally think there is a thing as straying too far... calling yourself a terf if you defend porn or rent-a-worm businesses is retarded because it ignores the basic tenets of the ideology. Not saying you have to be "the perfect feminist" but you shouldn't ditch integrity altogether either....)

I would say, consider looking for a book list (I can give you ones that I like if you want, there was also a concise one posted in the femoid advice thread on the salon a few days ago), check them out or search information in whatever other way you like and view it critically, analyzing what you like and what you don't, what you agree with and what you don't (and WHY) and most importantly what you can gain from paying attention to this worldview as well as what you gain from aligning yourself with it (and I don't mean publicly, but obviously you could do that if you wanted).

Avoid dogmas most of all!! Avoid reading my post as a dogma as well!!

There is a lot of variety from these writers and though some books are worse than others, but I think there is also a lot of good messages to get from it.

And if you end up enjoying the writers but don't want to "be in", that's ok too. You can still enjoy your stay in those places. Or leave, it's all good. Nobody is gonna ask you for credentials either way.

What drew you towards wanting to "join" terfism? :heart-full:

He did reinstate me after I bitched hard enough about it. I have no interest in revisiting that thread though and haven't been back since. I rarely post in the BP anyway anymore (been that way before this all happened), but I wanted the ability to in the Simply Sara thread, for instance, if I saw something interesting.

*For those wondering about my profile pic, the guy in the foreground is a very new lolcow who is known as Der Anzeigungenhauptmeister. He doesn't even have a write up in German yet, but he his fucking hilarious. If I get bored enough this weekend, I might start writing something on him in both English and German. The guy in the background is Drachenlord.

This happened months ago and she was unbanned when she complained but she still bitches about it every single day for attention. Also keeps lying about the real reason she was banned from the thread.

There is also a warning right at the top of the thread, so "there was never a rule" is a lie as well.

I bitched hard and appealed twice and I'm still not allowed back and I've been banned since september. When the ban is supposed to be a month. But I got banned before that was an official thing. I even said I was sorry for shitting up the thread and apologized to specific members in dms too.
