How do I afford a SSD

If speed isn't an issue, buy an HDD instead. My local Walmart had an 4TB external WD drive for $99. Sequential read speed improves with storage density, so you might as well go big assuming you have the budget for it.

Otherwise wait for AI to implode or some big sale like Black Friday.

Actually, why don't you raid an AI data center? Lots of free SSDs there. And other valuables, too! Be like Robin Hood and give them to the poor. Or at least sell them on the black market for reasonable prices.

Lafayette, Georgia. Unfortunately the item I bought is out of stock, but you might get the 4TB Toshiba Canvio Advance Plus external drive for $114 if you hurry.
