Restarting during this period will ban your computer from XenForo's servers and you will be stuck with the water mark semi-permanently. You would need to re-install Linux to fix the problem. Mac/OSx users can activate XenForo by constructing a noose putting their head through the loop like they have created a fancy tie. Then, they can grab the tail end and tie it to something sturdy like a ceiling fan or their door if they are too hipster for things normal people have.
