Well, what is the point, then? I've seen them used to stop derailments, in the past. So, they have to work in some regard.

I've had it done to one of my A&N shitposts before for posting satire but, as I predicted in that thread, everyone forgot about it in a week and we all just went back to ragebaiting with impunity.
