I have had terrible experiences with searx, mainly because it only gives a few dozen results per search.

Maybe it changed? I haven't used it in a little while. All the Internet is still pretty good though if you want find stuff outside the usual normie corpo web, though it also displays stuff from mainstream sites that is likely to be relevant.

I don't think the internet is dead because it's all bots, but rather the internet is dying because most websites rely on social media platforms like X/Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram instead of making original content. Even most Kiwifarms threads are just reposting Twitter; the same thing happens with 4chan threads, so the internet outside social media is dying as it basically becomes reliant on social media posts for content. Even most articles amount to reposting social media.
