I just spent the last hour close to the fire on the couch reading the Elliott Rodgers thread. I don't think I've ever been as comfy.

I'm getting real old now that I think so.
 
Me and Mr. Panzer had a dinner date. He loved it and I did too, also the neighbor who's semi close to me accidentally airdropped porn to my phone, whoops.
 
I've been on the hunt for some earrings for my Mum. She has rheumatoid arthritis and keeps losing earrings because she can't put them in her ears properly and they fall out and disappear forever. It's been causing her a lot of distress because she's lost several good earrings this way, and not to to put too fine a point on it, she and Dad are on a limited income and they're too poor to replace them. I spent a lot of time researching different types of earrings and came to the conclusion that a style called 'leverback'- where the top part hooks in like a shepherd's crook and the bottom part closes on the crook- would be reasonably easy to put in and fasten closed with the limited movement in her hand.

I've been lurking on eBay and found a couple nice pairs that would suit Mum, but my brother, who's contributing half of the payment, has voted them down. Today I went to the mall and hit up five different jewellery stores and finally found a pair of pearl and gold filigree drop leverbacks, lovely. Yes, they're still a bit out of price range, but I don't mind contributing a little extra, specially since they were already discounted half price.

Mum deserves nice things. It makes me happy when I can give her them.

oh fuck i feel that. my parents would go off on my friends parents and threaten to report them to police and shit just cause i smoked weed with my friends. i wasn’t allowed to see them all summer so i was isolated as fuck no one to hang out with and ended up losing contact, ironically that made my life even more shit and i felt more depressed and fell into an even worse place than just smoking weed like every other kid my age. that shit fucking sucks i’m sorry you had to deal with that

Not so good right now, yesterday i bought some ice cream i never had and somehow missed the fact that its vegan

i’m trying to learn guitar and it’s really fun :) absolutely kills my fingers though. anyone who plays, do you build a tolerance to that over time?

Yup, just keep building up those callouses. After a while, you won't have any more pain, it just takes some time for the skin to thicken up and can be quite painful. If you get to the point where your fingers hurt really bad, just take a few days off, it won't kill you.
