I don't know what the rebels in Yemen are trying to achieve by firing single missiles at Saudi Arabia when they've proven they can easily shoot them down already. Fire more and aim for the fucking cube!
Showing that they can means a lot in Arab culture. After gearing gunfire a street or two over my first couple patrols but never taking contact, I asked my 1st Sgt about it in a debrief. He explained the machismo of their culture and how even just shooting a gun in our vicinity showed everyone that they were a badass who doesn't give a fuck. It's about the gesture and the intent. Results will be celebrated and you'll make yourself a hero for high casualty counts, but it's all about whipping your dick out.

It's always nice to hear stereotypes confirmed. I've always heard tales of arabs being full of wind and piss but having no balls.

Saudis are actually pretty incompetent, as far as their military goes. Its just that they have enough money to buy the latest toys from America.
I'm sure they'll fuck up sooner or later and a missile will get through.

The Houthis may not be able to produce new missiles or modify what they have at a great pace. So stockpiling enough to saturate the Saudi AD system may not be feasible. Also today is just good timing, the war has lasted 1000 days as of today, and the Saudis splattered a bunch of civilians when they bombed a wedding yesterday. The Houthis have a habit of launching missiles in retaliation for such things.

Also there is still a chance that the warhead will get through. Hit percentages aren't particularly good when dealing with things like ballistic missiles, which is why multiple interceptor missiles are used per incoming ballistic missile. For things like THAAD they use 4 per target as I recall.
