Alloy doesn't look that bad, considering the rest of the cast. She's not playable, by the way.

So this game has been pretty hyped up since it was revealed at E3, and I'm happy to say that for the most part it's lived up to (most of) the hype (so far).

I've only played a few hours of it so far but holy shit. This game is the reason for owning a PS4 Pro and a 4K TV, because it looks amazing. For a comparison of just how good this looks in 4K compared to 1080P:

Gameplay wise, hunting robo-dinosaurs is pretty fun. Again, only a few hours into so I don't know how it will be in the long run, but putting an arrow into...

Ugh, this looks like slop. This will satisfy neither Horizon fans, nor whatever audience they seem to going for. Horizon fans will want progression whatever overarching story is going on. Not Monster Hunter but lame and gay. Also the monsters being robots doesn't work when it is this cartoony, it just looks like a bad reskin.
 
One of the Horizon Hunter Gatherings characters, named McChungus Red, is so large that the developers recommend using super-ultrawide 32:9 monitors just to see the character at full scale :story:

I'll be fair, the character design could have been far far worse. It's like they concentrated all the wokeness in the fat character so the rest are not terrible, with the two women looking downright normal.

But still the question, who the fuck is this for? The last Horizon came 4 years ago and it was never a genre that zoomies cared about. It's just burning money.
