I've been watching this guy's series about him renovating an abandoned Soviet house so he would be able to live here

I'm interested if any of you have any experience with house renovation

I've done all the work on my home, except two plumbing situations. Honestly, it's not as daunting as you might think, it's more about getting in there and getting your hands dirty. Start with a lot of small, unimportant projects that are cheap investments and let you get a feel for what matters, consume a lot of material on the topic to educate yourself and care about best practices to futureproof your work.
