Got my 100%, I will happily not touch this game again until the DLC drops. It's such a brutal game, perfectly crafted but man. I had a few sad whimpers, I just cant do it, I can't take this shit no more moments. If you weren't a massive Hollow Knight fan, the lore drops and story beats that kept me going in Act 3 certainly won't be worth it for you. However as a fan, wow. I didn't anticipate them covering as much story and lore as they did. Pharloom was already a dense and rich area, but to do that and all the magic they did weaving it back into HK was incredibly satisfying. I left HK wanting to know more about the world and it's past, I leave this game just wanting to see the aftermath of Hornet's actions.

Just the game 100%. I'm not insane enough to get Seth's memento or to skilled enough to speedrun the game without commiting violence to a controller. I'll keep this game on a positive note, ha! I did all the other content and momentos though.
 
So i beat grandma silk...twice for both endings, i just get into act 3, and im forced to do a gauntlet with the fucking hunter crest (which i havent used since the first few hours of the game)

For something more substantive, a while back people have data mined an unused crest in the game files. Cut content, or possible future DLC?

Seems to be a Pale King crest. Crest of the Wyrm, mayhaps?

Took a look.
At first I tried the wrong unity version and only found that same atlas, so I can see why it'd be mysterious if people did that:

But then I looked into the build version and with the right asset class format they're actually labeled:

It's "hunter_old" and has a lower ID number (3) than the used hunter crest (5, and 11 upgraded) so mystery solved, probably.

Oh that sucks. I liked the idea of a Crest that leans into the Wyrm nature. Plus I'd like to hear a bit more about the Pale King.

This is what I get for assuming the dataminers aren't retards

Interesting that they left it in though, since there's other, later gaps in the ID numbers. Either it was a late removal (maybe you originally leveled it up much earlier to the normal one, since it has jack for slots) or they might have thought it looked cool enough to potentially keep in for something else or to be recycled for a future patch or DLC or something.
 
Holy fucking shit fuck the bell hunter this shit is so goddamn slow and theres 0 indication on how much damage youre doing. It feels like an og Hollow Knight boss, which is why it sucks.

it's the closest thing the game has to Brooding Mawlek and Brooding Mawlek was the best boss in the game so perhaps it is you who sucks.
(It does suck though, because it's not Brooding Mawlek.)

If you're having trouble with Bell Eater, try not getting hit while also hitting it until it dies. That should work.
You need to kill it to get fast travel back so it's not a difficult fight or anything.

I see it as a way for people to finish the game and let those that really want to push it get to Act 3 and face the true end boss.

There is a pretty large part of the population that would beat Grandmother Silk and put the game down completely happy.

I'm cursing you so a pimple will appear right on your lip and it'a super painful to pop.

I eventually beat it, but it was still a tedious ass boss and i stand by that

Maybe Hornet's moveset is too strong for platforming...

Well Path of Pain itself wasn't in the base game so they might have some unreasonably crazy ass shit planned to be tucked away in a one of the future DLCs
