Finally got to Sands of Karak (basically cheated on the second conchfly fight by spamming tools once it got to its second phase but whatever) and I enetered the castle of the dead coral people
I wonder is this is a reference to the pale fork ornsomething along those lines, Team Cherry is always very deliberate whenever they use the word pale

I’m pretty sure Lace and whatever spawned her by proxy are referred to as pale.

I was talking shit about the game previously but after spending more time with it... It's pure class. Really a lot of fun. Way better than Blasphemous (Only played the first one), I gotta say.

Ever since I saw the post earlier showing that I can get the double-jump in Mount Fay, I've been trying to get there, but then while I was wandering around I just inadvertantly found the area in the Underworks where you get the needle grapple hook things for the rings. That's what I really like about a game like this, where even if I've got an idea of a place I want to go, I'll still stumble across things I didn't even know I was looking for.

I got to act 2 and stumbled onto the Wanderer’s Crest. Does it have any kind of gimmick like Reaper or the upgraded base crest, or is it just a fast attack with shorter range ala. the first game? The base crest is growing on me.
There's some kind of crit mechanic where if you have enough Silk to heal, you'll occasionally deal 3x damage [you know it's working because it looks kind of like a harp on the health bar]. I don't know the specifics as to how that works, beyond it being a function that happens.

When will my king get his own spinoff

From what I remember, pale is often referred to a specific class of higher being that's even above them, as well as rare items like the mask shards and the ore/oil that you use to upgrade weapon.
Unn is without a doubt an higher being, but not a pale being, I don't know if the radiance or white lady were pale beigns, but Hornet in silksong do adress the person at the top of Pharloom's food chain as a pale being and even compares it to her dad.

Just got the Clawline and completely forgot to mark the rings you can use it on in the early section of the game. Anything useful to get now that I have it from the Act 1 Areas?

There's also a door that opens by pulling a ring in the bottom right of deep docks (but it's easier to get there from the bottom of the shaft in far fields).
Since you're asking the steps contains a charge attack and a whole new area above it while the right of far fields is a mask shard and FUN. But I forget what the thing I said has~~

Considering we find a pale ore by a statue of the moth, I’m assuming it is. I just assume the White Lady is based on her name and appearance.

The statue was sculpted from pale ore, it doesn't makes the radiance a pale being, though what a certain NPCs says about dealing with pale beings, there are hints of radiance possibly being one, albeit it remains unconfirmed.

I'm slowly beginning to think there's not going to be a shorter route for delivering this meat from bell town to old fart butler dude, but maybe I'll eventually open up that path at the blasted steps right before the grand gate and prove myself wrong.

I need help, I think I might be softlocked.

I accidentally fell down without hitting the last of these balance platforms, and now I can't climb back up, and the elevator is gone.
How do I get back in to the citadel?

There is one, but if you haven't gotten all movement abilities, I don't recommend it.

There's a path straight up from Greymoor that can take you to the Underworks.

I’ve barely made it to act 2 and I’m ready to give up on the game. It’s not fun. There’s no payoff to the challenge. I hate it.
Well, what do you call 'payoff' in this case?

Try hitting them from below.

You can use the alternative route through Exhaust Organ on Sinner's Route for a more direct path (although it requires you going to defeat Phantom) or take the left path in Wisp Thicket, that one leaves you more or less where the elevator fell, in Underworks, after that you just do the regular path until you're in Choral Chambers.

Edit: Nvm
