I've quit around 60% through. I'd already installed a mod which gave Sirona a female voice or I doubt I'd have come that far. But I was getting sick of every second NPC telling me how great Sirona was and then I found a bunch of letters from a pupil to Sirona saying how they felt lost and out of place at school and then they met Sirona who was so brave and confident being 'herself' and it just flipped a switch from the game being an okay way to pass sometime to just enough negative feeling towards it to ditch it.

The size of the world is great and the attention to detail in Hogwarts itself is fantastic if you're a Harry Potter fan. Clearly a tonne of thought and effort went into that and I applaud that. The different spells and the combat was interesting enough. Fair few ways you can approach that.

But in terms of dialogue and voice acting it's aimed more at children but that's not something I'll ding it for because it's Harry Potter - children should be well catered for. The amount of times some adult will ask me, an actual school child to go and battle goblins for them is a little crazy but you have to make some concessions to it being a game and it's not like you have to go an collect horclumps for some random village woman unless you want to.

Still, if they hadn't put Sirona in the game and had so much background stuff about how awesome he (and clearly meant as he) was all over the place I'd likely have played more. I'll just read up on the plot now and find out what was going on that way.

The devs clearly love Harry Potter, and you can tell, but you can also tell they're woke retards.

What im saying is I don’t want to Hogwarts a Skyrim, I just want to go to Hogwarts and have a cool adventure along with that. Give me a schedule, classes, force us to wear the correct outfits when going to school and make punishments or the threat of getting in trouble a thing.
It's funny that the devs were probably required by their bosses to put in as little class time as possible and focus more on the outer world because they were worried it'd be too boring for the game to be mostly school... when that's exactly what the fans wanted. All they had to do was make them optional and everyone would have gotten what they wanted.

I am curious as to what the sequel will be like. I assume it'll be set in a different time period so they can reset everything. What I'd like is something set a little later, but not too late. Maybe the fifties or sixties so you miss the whole Grindewald thing, and are too early for the Marauders.

IIRC the mobile game is mostly that, it also takes place in the 1980s. it was apparently pretty cool, took you through every school year in almost real time, they finally finished the 7th year 2 months ago. meaning if you play now you don't have to wait to play the entire game.

Also is there no DLC for this game? thats actually really surprising, even a glorified cosmetic pack with one or two missions would sell like hotcakes. especially when every other HP game from the last decade seemed to be full of fucking microtransactions.

Next to nothing. Which is extraordinary. If you buy early or get the premium edition or whatever it's called you can get a dark hippogriff (admittedly pretty cool looking) and you get access to the Dark Arts arena which is quite good fun. It's a no-consequences arena where they keep throwing progressive waves of enemies at you until you can beat a full set. But no micro-transactions or DLC packs beyond those very minor bumps based on edition or pre-order.

The game is really huge. They could have very easily split off some of the missions into separate DLC but they chose not to which I hugely respect. And there are a tonne of little details and tasks tucked away in it. When I was in the music room (complete with toads), I noticed a large bell in the corner of one of the rafters. With some tricky wand work I was able to levitate it back into place amongst the others that hung in the tower and climbing up further I found there were several fallen bells. When I got the last one into position I was able to play a little tune by shooting the bells in order with my wand.

Nobody assigned it to me as a mission, nothing pointed me at it. I was just exploring and noticed it. Game has lots of little things in it. The repulso challenges are another thing tucked away (though with a little more direct nudging towards). And they're actually quite difficult and fun. The game developers clearly loved this game. It has massive amounts of content.

It really is a shame that you walk into a pub to meet a woman with a voice like Barry White and half the characters will just keep telling you how amazing and brave 'she' is all the time. No, you will not normalize autogynephillia for me.

Rumor was that a lot of the devs walked out in protest during tranny gate following the game's release to wash their hands of it, so no DLC.
Confirmed or not, it's retarded. Trannies and leftists have ruined America for a great long time.

I hope they also gave all their salaries they earned during this to tranny causes.
And how hard can it be to hire some non-pozzed devs who have no problem working on a hugely successful game/IP?

There is a quest tied to the bells, but you can do it even without accepting it first. Same with the Lumos / moth portrait riddles, which you can solve before some student tells you what to do.

Would explain why after it was released, despite making millions in pre-orders and more in sales, they announced no DLC. I did hear something about Quidditch possibly getting added in as a DLC pack, but that was probably just fan boy wishing.

There's some articles online speculating that they're just focusing on the sequel, which could just be corporate shilling, but if it's true I'm all for it.

Very difficult, actually.

See, here's the thing a lot of people don't understand.

Liberals refuse to work with or share the same spaces as non-liberals a lot of the time. The reverse is not true. Therefore, hiring a non-liberal has a potential extra cost of pissing off the liberals in the workforce.

Generally, as a result of this it is simply easier to just hire liberals and ask everyone else to just be quiet.

Just platinumed this bitch to own the libs. It wasn't bad, I'd give it 7/10. Throw a few more points on if you're a Potterfag.

The storyline wasn't exactly gripping though and left a lot to be desired, particularly the beginning. Oh I received this mysterious secret artifact from your dead wife which I'll talk to you about in front of this new student who I know nothing about. Oh, the new student just happens to have a rare and mysterious power which can unlock the artifact. What are the odds?

Also there's literally no explaining what your character's backstory is. Where are your parents? Are you an orphan? Why did you only just get powers? And yeah it is weird that you just happen to have the powers, but I guess a little plot coincidence is forgivable.

I will say the "new student I know nothing about" isn't exactly true, they allude to Fig and your character having been training/practicing for a while before the game's start.

I never got the hype for this game, it looks like your generic ubisoft open world slop with Harry Potter paint. Why bother playing this when the best Harry Potter games will always be the original trilogy?
Maybe I'm missing something, I know that HP games have been in the dumpster for years(There is a mobile game that is somewhat popular but the console games have literally just been COD with magic wands, as far as movie related tie ins. I think the porn VN game was unironically the most popular one before Legacy) so maybe the troon controversy and general lack of games gave it a better reception than it would normally have.

I think it's the idea of getting to sort of be your own character in Hogwarts instead of just playing Harry's story, although Order of the Phoenix was pretty cool on the Wii as far as I remember.
Also there's a Harry Potter porn VN game?

I can understand that, but from what I've seen the writing isn't very good, and not like you can get immersed in the 1800s England with all the nogs running around. At the end of the day, it really is just another generic open world game with the sprinkling of that unique universe, I get that. My question is, if Hogwarts was the middle east and your wand was a gun, how much of a difference would there be between this and some shitty shooter? There is overlap, I already mentioned the latest movie games(Deathly Hollows) basically just being third person COD.
If a game like this is going to be made, it deserves better. Legacy is the bare minimal of what I would expect from a game like this, and no matter what it will always be most famous not for it's content but rather due to the controversy if got from the troons(and mod sites for it's controversial mods, arguably one of the first "banned mods" controversies that kickstarted the new based.mods site)

I still don't get why the fuck did the troon hivemind throw such a shitfit over one silly videogame, when the game itself apparently shills the fuck out of the single troon featured in it. Is it because the troon didn't single-handedly solve the plot by casting "Expecto Dilatum: Quadraginta centesima"?

This did make me laugh. I legit cannot tell which of these men is supposed to be the main character. The guy with the shadowed face is pure porn protag, but the jacked iranian dude seems pure wish fulfilment.
