Finished the game last night. I stand by my first impression rating of 7/10. The main story was fine, albeit a bit dull. The twists were predictable, but it wasn't bad enough to distract from the whole experience. I wish the game focused more on Hogwarts itself, as the countryside was pretty dull all around for the most part; I barely explored the south-eastern most part of the map because when the story finally took me there I was starting to get a bit bored of the side content. I will say, the alohomora "puzzle" is terrible and got tedious real quick. In fact, most of the puzzles in the game were pretty bad. The only ones I enjoyed were the depulso puzzles in the 2 optional rooms as they took a least a little thought.

Overall, I put about 40 hours into the game and probably won't go back, though I am looking forward to see what the devs make next.
Pretty much agree with you on the negatives, plus the limited action bar being limited to 4 spells really sucked, and speaking of bad puzzles Merlin trials were especially lame. Basic and repetitive, yet you feel obligated to do them just to increase your ludicrously small inventory size.

On the positive side, the environment design and visuals in general were spot on and combat was super fun if a bit too easy on normal. I might try another playthrough on hard mode. Overall find the game was worth buying on its own merits, total tranny genocide just a nice side bonus.

The action bar really is a big issue. You bascially need 1 bar for your utility spells like lumos, wingardium leviosa etc, then another for the room of requirement spells. And one bar isn't enough once you also unlock the beasts. (why doesn't the room just have its own spell slots it autoswaps to?) Then you have only two bars left for your actual combat spells. Which would be mostly fine to make your own playstyle with but the game constantly demands specific spells for puzzles or combos for combat challenges you most likely don't have slotted.

I just cant understand it though, as sensitive as you are, you cant be any worse off than the dudes who cut their dick off and are now falling apart over a single videogame!

Death threats? These are the same as web activism is; Worthless as anything other than social validation, fuck, wouldnt be surprised to learn theres people out there actively *seeking* to get death threats for clout

Doxxing threats? Alright, they know your address and socials now, what, is the troon brigade gonna come over physically? "Go right ahead! Just know that the entire family is prepared to respond"

These people break down over their own fucking names for crying out loud
first difference: even dudes that cut their dick off are still dudes, and unless you misgender them or play a certain videogame they usually don't care much, and even then it's mostly performative for asspats on twitter so they can shill their donation links.

death threats and doxxing again are different for women. yeah, most of it is the usual internet bullshit, but do you really want to risk it if it's not? remember we're talking about obviously mentally ill dudes here. it's also much more personal than "I'm gonna firebomb the office of X!!!! (in minecraft)".
this notion is also a bit dumb, this is the internet age. you think k-tard and dong-gone traveled around to get the farms canceled? there are plenty of way to fuck with someone, and troons have way too much time to be retarded to begin with.

Just let me activate a spell from the menu without having to slot it first. This way for the utility spells that are rarely used you don't have to slot it, use it and then remember which spell you have to put back.
Same with the potions, I play on PS5 so I'm not sure on PC, but just let me use the potion/plant directly without binding it, then using it.

About time. She said ten days and it came out the tenth.

She had this to say today:

I have to say, this game does seem very problematic. I know nothing of the lore, but first you have the house elf slaves which I'm not going to comment on. But then you have the beasts.

So, you get a quest to remove poachers and "save" the beasts. Saving the beasts involves using a terrifying magical grab bag to store them for a while. Then you finally release them into a cage. Sure, it's a really nice cage but you can't have more than 12 beasts in there. Tell me how are the poor mooncalves going to frolic and dance in the moonlight if there's only 12 of them. For that matter why are they out during the simulated daytime in the cage at all? Then you feed and groom your beasts and harvest rare parts from them which sounds much like poacher behavior just without the killing.

Then the worst part is the poor mount beasts. When one of them is not doing your bidding it's unceremoniously slapped back into the sack, doesn't even get to frolic and rest in the nice outside air. I released one into the vivarium but I'm not sure if the bag magically transports it to and from there when I need it or if as soon as I leave the Room Of Requirement it's magically transported to my bag so I have it with me all the time.

Anyway, the Muggle SPCA should be all over how the wizards treat these poor magical beasts. Although I guess if the muggles get all uppity they'll just get stuffed in the grab bag too.

Yeah sounds like a you problem, broski. This fucking guy.

To quote one of the greatest wizards of all time: "You cannot pass."

Somehow that doesn't seem nearly as bad as Pokemon where they're only brought out of those tiny spheres to engage in brutal fights against other Pokemon.

Harry Potter is really the only franchise that has Wizard = Male, Witch = Female. Growing up with other series that often involved magic, I was very used to hearing male being called a witch. I've always thought of Witch, Wizard, Warlock, Sorcerer/ess as titles denoting ones magical ability. Hermione for example would be a great example of a female wizard as she extremally knowledge in magic. Ron and his family would be good examples of witches, competent enough at magic but never reaching beyond that. Dumbledor is a great example of a Sorcerer as his magic is far greater then most. Warlocks are known for their borrowed power, but I cannot think of a good "Harry Potter" example. There's potential in exploring the classism of a magical world, but such things are deemed "problematic".

Though with what I have said, it STILL doesn't make it excusable for making a shitty character. I think the only reason people like Rookwood fear Sirona is because he'd chimp out and have them canceled or whatever the magical equivalent would be. After I saw that about the classmates, I literally walked outside the bar and turned off the game, this character is that insufferable. Trans characters will always be shit, because if you don't point out that they're trans, then they have nothing.

We got lucky that SIRona isn't vegan and does crossfit too.

Gen X'er here - I grew up speaking and reading British English and I always understood "wizard" and "witch" to be male and female, respectively.
Perhaps this is not historically the case but I believe it has been so for at least the last couple of centuries.

I might entirely be wrong with what I said. I think "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" the 90's sitcom might be the reason as to why I consider "Witch" as gendered neutral.
