Not sure if this is relevant to the thread, but here’s some book YouTubers crying about Book lovers on tiktok playing the forbidden wizard game. https://twitter.com/thewordn3rd/status/1626195892020695049?s=46&t=ROpjzN4r8YC0aIQVrcPSpg

Lol that ADHD sure comes in handy to forgetting shit ain't it

You will never be a real goblin. You have no gold, you have no jewels, you have no bank. You are a greedy house elf twisted by potions and spells into a crude mockery of Gringott's perfection.

Finished it up. Damn near 100% too. Pretty much the same complaints everyone else has with the story... I'm going to see if I get owls for these last two quests or if I have to go searching for them.
Solid game, and the first one I've paid full price for since Star Wars Battlefront 2 back in middle school. Glad to see something come out that wasn't utterly disappointing for once.
Edit: proof the "they" pronouns were just lazy.
Black doesn't even say your house name when you win the cup

Found a glitch in one of the Ancient Magic Hotspots.

From my memory (UPDATE: Its the hotspot right outside of Keenbridge) it was in the central-eastern part of the map. So in the Hotspot there is a tower that you can broom up to and slip by a small gap in the ceiling.

You find yourself in the upper part of the tower, nothing of interest up there...until you fly up towards the ceiling of the tower. Once you hit a certain height, you'll glitch into a blue hell, where the only things you can see are buildings and landmarks off into the distance. I didn't get to explore in it, but if you fly down, you'll be back in the tower. Very reminiscent of the San Andreas "using the jetpack in Ganton gym" glitch.

EDIT: you cannot explore the blue hell, you only hit an invisible wall and eventually end up back at the tower.

Once up in the tower, though, you're trapped, you can't go back down through the gap you came in from. You'll have to fast travel elsewhere to escape the tower. (UPDATE: it is possible to escape, you have to fly around the blue hell until you hit a hole in the tower where you can escape from, once you do, you'll start moving, then the blue hell disappears and you're outside the tower.)

I'll do more research on it, unless I'm late and gay, but I don't remember seeing anything posted about it and thought it was interesting.

TOTAL GOBLIN DEATH.

KILL GOBLINS. BEHEAD GOBLINS. DEFECATE INTO GOBLINS' FOOD. REPORT GOBLINS TO THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. CAST CRUCIO INFINITE TIMES ON A GOBLIN. CAST IMPERIO ON A GOBLIN AND FORCE HIM TO STOMP OTHER GOBLIN SKULLS WITH STEEL-TOED BOOTS. CAST AVADA KEDAVRA ON EVERY GOBLIN YOU SEE. ROUNDHOUSE KICK EVERY GOBLIN INTO COBBLESTONE PATHWAYS. TIE EVERY GOBLIN UP IN THE FORBIDDEN FOREST AND WATCH THEM GETTING LIQUIFIED ALIVE BY SPIDERS. BOIL EVERY GOBLIN IN A CAULDRON.

Add another one to the "sites whose scores I won't be surprised by" pile.
I've never read Harry Potter or seen any of the Harry Potter movies. The most I know about Harry Potter (before the game at least) is some characters names and like 2 of the spells. If this game is reliant entirely on nostalgia, how have I, and others who havent read harry potter, been enjoying it so much. This argument doesn't hold in the slightest.

It's funny because it's pretty much an open world ubisoft game yet I doubt those games review badly on those sites.
Their latest sandbox games like Far Cry 6 or Watchdogs:Legion got relatively poor reviews.
(still something like a 7/10 which for well known AAA game franchise is like a 3/10)

Chorizo is best boy. And Danny Trejo)

I've seen a little ad mat in front of the games section in Media Expert in Poland advertising Hogwarts Legacy, albeit with a localized title. It was also in stock for Xbox Series.
I bought one for my nephew in our local Media Markt and they said to me they already sold over 300 for them for all the different consoles. Not that bad I guess, I bought the steam version directly on steam and for my nephew one for his XBox S.

I've just been running around the castle on day one, unlocking the fast travel and collecting book pages, and have to say it's fucking beautiful. The place is gorgeous in a way that the movies never really imparted to me. Going down a random hall and seeing all of the animated paintings and the marble patterns on the floor really drove home just how much work was put into it. They could've put in half that effort and it would've been fine, but it's clear they really went all out on the castle. There are some repeats in the moving paintings, but not so many as to be particularly jarring.

Another Vtuber got harassed by angry troons for playing HL

I despise Vtubers but no one should be brought to tears for playing a fucking wizard game.
