It's funny but his take is that you can buy the product without supporting Rowling's views. Which misses the point because Rowling's views are that dudes shouldn't suddenly get access to women's spaces because they put on a dress. She is funding a shelter for female domestic abuse victims and it wont let in men in dresses. This is a good thing!

Someone needs to make the case to this guy that his message actually isn't on point but perpetuating this idea that she's a horrible bigot. Not wanting men in the women's toilets is not hatred you have to distance yourself from.

Too many people play it safe with this. It's "you aren't a bad person for consuming this media, but yeah JKR said some pretty yikes transphobic things in the past" every time. They don't even go to bat that she's entitled to hold whatever views she wants. Everyone still is bowing down to the troon mind virus that they are a marginalized group and you can't mock or judge them, much less criticize or point out nuance of how they invade women's spaces and promote life altering solutions to temporary problems.

I noticed that SJW fags critical of the bleeding heart liberal JKR never ever quote what she actually said that makes her "tRaNsPhoBiC". I don't believe the people giving these luke warm tip toe takes even know what the fuck she said, they just don't want to be labeled a bigot. The truth is 99% of normal people would agree with JKR if they actually knew what her stance was which is why they never say it. In my personal opinion she's way overly accepting of trannies in fact. She won't even disavow them, it's just "keep them out of women's shelters where they can rape".

Played a couple hours last night. Game is ok, probably a 7/10 so far. Fast travel is causing it to crash to desktop, but that may be because I'm running it on Linux. Got it installed on a windows partition to see if that fixes it.

The UI is pretty awful, but after turning off most of the elements the game has been vastly improved.
 
The menu UI from this game is literally straight out of Assassin's Creed. Straight down to holding the thumbstick in to delete. The transmog system and "keeping visuals despite selling the item". All the RPG aspects people -hate- in modern Ass Creed are celebrated staples of this game.

It's a good game for its price. It's a collectathon set in a decent world. It was not 30 years in the making, but the fact everyone wanted a game just like this raised expectations to a point of "it should've been Elden Ring-large".

The UI in this game is very fucking garbage. I'll wait till a mod arrives that actually gives a better UI because fuck me is that an awful choice.
 
I've played 12 hours so far, really enjoying the game albeit it's not perfect and will definitely be less enjoyable the less you are interested in the HP universe. It certainly could have gone without the PoC and Troon tokens, but honestly that just makes all the outrage that more pathetic, and I'm hoping the insanity of this whole debacle might get more normies to think twice about licking the boots of the troon brigade.

That being said, besides gamers, it really does seem as though no one but the terminally online are even aware this game exists or has any controversy surrounding it. I know a few people irl who claim to be big HP fans, and none of them had ever heard of this game, or the stuff with J.K. Heck, I live in a large college house full of diehard SJW liberals and I've been expecting more than one to call me out on Discord for playing the game, but alas, not a single peep from them.
And yet, two people I rarely talk to on Steam (one is a MtF troon, the other an NB autist) both blocked me without a single word after I started playing the game. And that took me aback a bit, because how fucking immature do you have to be to block someone you personally know over them simply playing a game, with literally no dialogue exchanged between you two?
Oh well, guess I should be happy that my contact list has been purged of more retards, and I can continue playing the game knowing that I am personally responsible for contributing to the narcissistic crying of trannies.

I only got around an hour in, and I've had fun so far. I can finally play as Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Ravenway (had to shorten it due to char limits).

Glad they can find time to worry about videogame character names, what with their busy schedule of constantly being genocided.

Maybe this will serve as a demonstration for why there's no point trying to appease lunatics. :optimistic: Don't put a troon character in your game, they'll just complain that you can rearrange their name to spell "aryan".

They shouldn't have bothered to put a token trans character in the game, it's pointless. These people can't be appeased, especially regarding JK.

But the game is insanely popular, this is before the game unlocks for every version. And it's not even the weekend yet.
 
I don't think she's trans. There are plenty of masculine sounding women, and if Sirona were trans, they wouldn't have named him after the goddess of healing springs. Also, he would have altered his voice through magic to not sound like that.
